Hello guys !

Each year in september there is the American Film Festival in Deauville (Normandy - France).
I'm going since a few years. This one was not the best regarding to the few stars coming but yet it was awesome, mostly thanks to two men : Andy Garcia & Harrison Ford.

But let start with the begining.
Rachel McAdams and Eric Bana were coming for the opening night, to present the movie "The Time Traveler's Wife".
They were both very nice.

The next day director Nora Ephron, Meryl Streep, Stanley Tucci, Chris Messina and Alexandre Desplat were there for "Julie&Julia"...

Stanley Tucci who was so nice 3 years ago was so different this time !! He didn't signed any autographes and didn't even come closer for us to take pictures ! It's so disappointing he changed that much !! :neutral:

Ok now, Andy Garcia !
He was there during 3 days so we were able to meet him several times. I actually got 6 autographes of him
His daughter, Dominik Garcia-Lorido, the director Raymon de Felitta and producer Lauren Versel were there as well to present the movie "City Island".
I love Andy Garcia's movies since many years, but one of my friends is a huge fan of him since more than 25 years !!
As she doesn't speak english, we explained to Andy that she was a huge fan of him, as an actor of course, but also as a director and musician. And he was sooooo nice with her !! We were able to take a picture of them together, and he signed many autographes to her during those 3 days.
I'v met many actors. and they mostly are nice with their fans, but Andy was more than nice.
He really is a good man with a huge heart !

And of course, the last, but not the least : Harrison Ford !
I've been a Star Wars fan since I'm 4 or 5, and more particularly fan of Harrison Ford since I'm 10 or 11 !
So it's been years since I'm following the carreer of the man !

I met him once, in 2003. But it was quick, it was not planed (I didn't know he was still there when I arrived at the festival) so it was....well, like it happened in a dream only !!
But this year, I was prepared !

Harrison Ford is a great man, an excellent actor and very nice with his fans. But like I said earlier, not as close to us as was Andy Garcia.
But anyway, I was able to see him, to take pictures, to have 5 autographes (!!!), and even to talk to him ! (I only ask if he could put my name on a book he was signing he apologized and said he had not enought time, and then later I wished him a good evening and he said "thank you"...not much but still very impressive to me !)
He was there to recieve an homage. Calista Flockhart was there too.

That is so cool! Would totally haved loved to meet Harrison Ford and get an Autograph!! He's been on my most wanted list for a long time. & you got FIVE of his?!?!?!?! Very nice photos too! Looks like you had a lot of fun!

OMG what a FANTASTIC success!!!! {thumb2} Congratulations. That's awesome. I would love to get Calista Flockhart's autograph. {love} I loved her in "Ally MacBeal" and you even got Harrsion Ford. You must have waited a very long time to get all these successes, didn't you? And you got so close to them. I like the photos of Meryl Streep. Isn't she wonderful in "Mamma Mia"? It became one of my favourite movies.

Wow, congratulations on your fantastic successes! You've met so many great actors, especially Andy, Meryl, Harrison and Eric, as well as Rachel McAdams! You must be very happy, and they even personalised some photos to you, that's amazing! I am a big fan of Eric Bana, I think he's a great actor. {love} And Meryl is such a classy actress, I adored her in "Mamma Mia! The Movie" most recently! You got to take some lovely photos too! {thumb2}

Thanks Lizanne ! I had not heard about District 9 before Deauville, but since I met them, I have to watch it !!
They were nice, Sharlto seemed a bit shy, but it was very interesting to be able to be at the press conference !!

One on a book about his movies, one a press book about "what lies beneath" and 3 on pictures (the 2 I posted plus one from "clear and present danger")

You must have waited a very long time to get all these successes, didn't you?

Not that much this year actually ! Mostly during the 10 days of the festival I arrived around 9 or 10 AM, I made pictures of the Jury while he was going to watch the first movie of the day. I also was able to be at some press conference which was very interesting.
But of course, for Andy Garcia and Harrison Ford it was different.
I arrived at 7am for Andy and 5.30am for Harrison.
And the worst was that I wasn't even the first there, even so early in the morning !!

Harrison Ford is right up there on my wanted list hope to meet him in the Uk one day although he rarely comes over. I cant believe you got 5 from him; were there many people, that is amazing!!! I would be over the moon with just the one, you must be on a massive high!

Great successes! I've gotten Harrison before and he's a nice guy. That's awesome that you got 5 since he usually does one per. Meryl is a hard autograph to get, big time congrats on her.

Yeah that's right, only one at a time, but I saw him 4 times during the day, and the last, it's a friend of mine who was holding my picture (cause she knew how much I love the man, and already got her pic signed so she kindly offered to try to get an auto for me...which I couldn't refused ! )

It was...well, magic ! On the red carpet he was interviewed and I could hear him.
Han Solo, Indiana Jones, Jack Ryan, Rick Deckard...he was here, in front of me, talking ! {love}
