Male to Female ratio...
I find i write more letters to females than men probably because im a guy but i also find i get more autos back from men than women on average even though at least 60 or even 70% of my requests are too females my success rate is at least 50% males. Is it guys are just nicer than women? Do guys prefer guy fans is it a guy thing? I am curious of other peoples ideas about this male or female?

I also send to more females, probably because it is female celebrities that I look up to. I don't really see male celebrities as role models, but the males I do write to are usually older gentlemen that I have grown up watching.
I think if you pretty much write a love letter to a celebrity then that will put them off, especially if they are married/in a relationship, so that might be a reason for someone receiving less from one gender than another. But since I am in a serious relationship I don't even comment on a male celebrities looks in my letter, so it is obvious that I am a genuine fan and appreciate their talents so I get a good percentage of successes from both genders.
It may also depend on the type of celebrity that you are writing to - If you for example write to mainly hollywood male actors that are in film after film, but then write to lesser known female celebrities it is almost guaranteed that you would get more successes from the lesser known females since they have more time on their hands and are in a greater need of fans.
It is an interesting subject, but there are just way too many reasons that could possibly explain it!

I write to far more men because I collect autographs of baseball and football players. It does seem that women do respond better. I've had some great replies from both men and women.

I actually write men and women kind of equally, maybe I've sent a few more letters to men then women, and I've noticed that I seem to get more personalization from men back. I've also only received hand written thank you letters from men.

Re: Male to Female ratio...
I'm a girl, and I don't think I've ever sent a request to a fellow female. Most of my favorite whomevers are guys. In fact, I don't think I have more than five female autographs total, including those I've gotten in person.
Re: Male to Female ratio...
Only two autographs in my whole collection are those of females.
The rest are all men. I don't like any female musicians, don't like female sports, don't like the majority of actresses or the characters they play, etc.

I send more requests to males. I feel that there are currently many more great actors, than actresses. Don't get me wrong, there are a many great actresses too, many beautiful actresses.
