DO YOU THINK THE POSTAL STRIKE WILL AFFECT MY VIA VENUE'S?

I REALLY want to send letters to the jobros, taylor swift and justin bieber when they come over to the uk next month
But if this postal strike goes ahead.. and i want the venue to recieve my letter a few days before, do you think itll affect it?

Because the venue wont keep the letters for very long.. so i want them to arrive only a few days before

I would send first class a week before the event if it were me. I posted a letter first class to my friend in Wales a couple of weeks ago and it reached her four days after I posted it so Royal Mail is behind a bit at the moment. {thumb2}

I am writing to Taylor Swift VV in the UK next month too.
The postal strike is only for 1 week I think so hopefully it wont affect our VV requests.
I am sending mine 1 week before the concert.

So when will the strike actually end? I want to send some more requests on Monday, but I'm afraid of this whole strike thing...don't want my letters lost in the mail just because of it!

I don't want to dampen anyone's spirits here but the strike is for a week, therefore there will be a back log of mail from that week, meaning that Royal Mail will be playing catch-up for a few weeks after It was reported by the Daily Express that people need to send their over seas Christmas cards by the end of October!!!! I'd say, try your luck as your mail may get through. but don't send anything valuable (CD sleeves or special posters etc) I'd hate for one of you guys to waste money! {thumb2}
