Remembering your letters ?

Unread post by johnnylightning »

Hi fanmail peeps,I was just thinking about how when i get an autograph back i usually try to remember what i wrote in that persons letter because i know they actually read it and its not just important to me that i got their autograph back but i care what i said in the letter as well. I hand write my letters and im too lazy to write each one twice or scan each letter but i should scan each letter before i send it... ;-) I can usually remember most of what i wrote in each letter but every letter i write is unique to that person. Anyone else ever try to remember what they had written after they know the person read it ?

In Each of My Letters It Involves ALMOST The Same Thing:

A LIL BOUT ME
Y DO I LIKE THEM
IF THEY EVER INSPIRED ME IN SOMETHING
FAV. MOVIE/SCENE/CD/SONG
WHAT I HOPE THEY DO IN THE FUTURE
NICELY ASK FOR A SIGNED PHOTO

(Each Letter Has SOMETHING Diff Than EVERYONE Else's (Something Personal That Invloves That CERTAIN Celeb) And Usually Is About ONE FULL PAGE)......And Yea I Can Recall Some Thing That I Wrote ESP: The PERSONAL Things.... :)

I always type up my letters before I write them out just so I can read back over it and make any changes I need to before writing it out. If I wrote it straight out and I made a mistake then I would either have to cross words out and make it look a mess or waste time writing it all out again. So I always type them up first and save them on my laptop. It also helps if you don't get a reply from someone for a long time and want to try again, or you sent to someone VV and didn't hear back so you want to try their agency, you can just open the file with that letter and just copy it out which will save a lot of time.

I split all my files up into the year, VV or TTM, and the country I am writing to. So for example Evangeline Lilly. To find her letter I would click 2009, then TTM, then USA and I will find her letter :)

I don't bother saving my letters. If I need to re-write to someone, I'll just do the research over again and then write another letter. I don't care what I wrote and never think about it later. I guess I just have more important things to remember, like where did I put my darn keys this time, which shoe goes on which foot, and whether or not I remembered to eat lunch today. Once I get an autograph I file it in its proper place and then get on with life the best I can. I'm not so obsessed with the celebrity that I feel they need to like me, as long as they sign.

Oddly enough - I do end up remembering what I said in my letters.

Ex: "Oooh, look! I got John Smith's siggy! I remember I said I liked him in that movie, "That Movie!"
