They are for bulk mailing only. They are discounted because the mail houses that use them pre-sort the mail by zipcode so that the USPS doesn't have to - thus saving the USPS money. You can't reuse them.ariel84 wrote:Hi everyone! I was wondering if I could use presorted first class stamps to send out my LORs. When I usually get mail, the stamps are on the envelope and they never marked by the Post Office. So what I usually do is cut them out from the envelope and soak them in some water so they can come off the envelope. I have a few of these stamps, but I was wondering if I could use them? Also what is the difference between the presorted first class stamps and the forever stamps?
Thanks,
Ariel
P.S. Here is a picture of the presorted first class stamp to clarify as what they look like.

Re: Playbill Collectors
Has anyone tried writing to "A Little Night Music", "Race", "Fela", or "Wishful Drinking"?
Reason I ask, I wrote all of the above and have not heard back. I'm curious to see if they will send out cast signed Play Bills' for any of them.
Also has anyone had success from Bye Bye Birdie, Oleanna, or After Miss Julie in the past 3-4 weeks?

I wrote to "A Little Night Music" last Monday but haven't heard back yet. I hope they'll send something out. Catherine is my favourite actress by a mile and I would love nothing more than to have her autograph.
Re: Playbill Collectors
Well no one has probably heard from a little night music because the show hasn't even started yet! It's opening night is Dec. 13th.chriscollector wrote:Has anyone tried writing to "A Little Night Music", "Race", "Fela", or "Wishful Drinking"?

Preview performances already started last Tuesday but it's definitely possible that not all the actors have arrived yet. If I had known that opening night was going to be on December 13 instead of November 24 I definitely would have sent my letter later. If I don't hear back until the second week of January I'll send another one.
Re: Playbill Collectors
Yeah, I'm sending my letter in about a week or so. Since from where I am, it only takes about a day or two to get to NYC. I don't want to send too early.

I just recently had a success with "Fela!" which you can find here:chriscollector wrote:Has anyone tried writing to "A Little Night Music", "Race", "Fela", or "Wishful Drinking"?

A couple days ago I sent out requests for "A Little Night Music" and "Race" as well. Generally, most theaters are pretty reliable in sending playbills out, unless it's the American Airlines Theater or Studio 54, which are trickier often times if you simply write to the stage manager. I imagine that playbills will be sent from Race and A Little Night Music without too much delay.
I as well sent off a letter solely to Carrie Fisher at "Wishful Drinking" a month or two ago, but have not heard back. Haven't seen any successes with it either.
Good luck!
Re: Playbill Collectors
What about if you want a Playbill that isn't signed? Will Roundabout Theatre Company and others send that to you if you request?

Shame A Steady Rain aren't doing playbills any more - Daniel Craig doesn't seem to be replying outside of the USA because of Shaun so I have to lose hope.
