Honestly I am SHOCKED people send a lettter any less than 2 decent paragraphs. My closing statements thanking, wishing luck, and a final compliment are longer than 5 sentences.

If I were a sec., manager, agent, or tour manager I would NEVER even bother my clients with a poor excuse of a letter like that. I honestly can't understand how someone who is a real fan can send a letter of 5 sentences??????

This was interesting to read,I think any letter should be close to a full page in length and one main problem i see and i see it alot is people sending way too many things to be signed,if someone wants more than 2 items signed the person might be nice and do it but anyone would be suspicious and turned off by 4 or 5 items to be signed by one person.I have sent 3 things a few times but only because i couldnt decide on what picture i like best but i generally stick to 1 or 2 items to be signed.

I handwrite my letters on 8x11 paper and generally use both sides, I inlcude my own photos and a SASE and ALWAYS ask for my items to be personalized to me. That way performers know I'm not going to resell them. Enjoyed reading the info you posted IHeartAutographs. I am curious though why you won't reveal which band you help manage. :neutral: It's not the Jonas Brothers is it!?!?!

Ummmm, I wasn't asking for a free signed photo. I'd be more than happy to send photos, SASE letter as always if it's a band I know.

I totally agree with that.
Yeah Ryan but no everyone would do that ;) Probably many of them would write a PM asking if IHeartAutographs can get them a signed photo of the whole band.

I was just wondering, what would happen if I was sending to a band, and I sent a picture of the band for them all to sign, and a picture of each individual member for them to sign. That would be more that two pictures, but what would happen then?

Been awhile since I've been on here...enjoying your posts...Jonas Brothers...not even close! Me being a female...total 180 degree opposite! Proud robust Male people...I guess my moniker is feminine...should have consulted some people before posting it!

Send me a PM and the first 25 people that do, get my management address and name of the band and I'll send you a signed promo 8x10 (one only, I won't accept anything to be signed)...but you need to include the SASE or $5.00 cash ( I will accept UK, French, German, and Polish stamps in trade for mailing from the USA) for postage if overseas!!!!

Remember, the tour manager gets the letter first, IF it is forwarded! My own personal requirement is that someone at least make one or two compliments, then the request. You won't believe how many two sentence requests I receive. Unfortunately, many people want to get items signed to sell on eBay, a lot of tour managers are aware of that, as I am one myself.

I think we should put all those spineless eBayers in one large bin and start the incinerator!

Thanks for this post. Am going to try sending to some venues soon, it's such a shame people open the mail and get the photos signed for them self. I could never do that!

I noticed one person say they always ask to have it personalised, but I thought this was cheeky to ask. Do you all ask to personalise the autographs and how do you word it? I wouldn't want to think I was been rude!

Am just wondering is the band famous in the UK? I presuming it's a US band but obviously not the Jonas Brothers. I love the Jonas Brothers!
