Tip - Don't Do What I Did

Unread post by idiotic idiot06 »

On December 28, 2005 (2 days ago) I sent a letter to Jim Carrey. Today, December 30, I went to check the mail. I found that there was a letter from somebody. I checked the return address, it kind of looked like my hand writing but it said Jim Carrey, so I thought to myself, that's imposibble. I ran to my room and closely looked at the envelope. Yes, that's right, I sent the letter to myself, putting Jim Carrey's name on the return address and mine on the forwarding. I wasted two stamps, and crushed my hopes but I'm sending the letter back today with two new stamps and HIS address on the forwarding. Please spare yourself and do not do this.
Thank you for your help,
Nick

That sounds like something that many of us have done at one point or another. Maybe not actually putting it into the mail, but I'm sure we all have transposed the addresses at leate once. I have done it a couple of times, but I notice the mistakes and switch the addresses before I mail the letter.

I've done that MANY times. That and once my letter got all the way from North Carolina to Germany before the peole at the post office realized there wasn't a postage stamp. I really have no idea how they could not have noticed, but apparently they didn't because they returned it to me with a sticky note telling me I needed to put postage on it next time. I really can't imagine how they couldn't have noticed there wasn't postage though. Or even why when they realized there wasn't postage and it was in Germany why they didn't just deliver it instead of fly it back to the states. I mean I'm sure flying it back here cost more than just delivering it.

I completely know how you feel with that.
