Baseball question?

Unread post by twilighter »

If all you have for a player is their stadium address, do you wait until baseball season starts to send a request?

Thanks!

You could try that, or try the teams spring training address, or try to find their home or agents address. For what it's worth, I send mostly to their home addresses.
I have been asked many times about trading / selling some of my autographs. I am sorry but my collection is not and will not be for sale.

It depends on the player. If it's a retired player who is a coach or broadcaster and I find a home address, I'll send there during the off-season. If it's a current player, I almost always wait for spring training and send there or to the home ballpark during the season. I don't know why I do it that way other than out of courtesy.

I NEVER send to the agent. Some agents will refuse to pass the card or photo on to the player unless it is accompanied by a fee, while most players will sign for free via the team address. Not only that, but during the season the agent is not always in the same city as the player so it can cause an unneccessary delay.
