Wait until they actually join the show / their first performance. More often times than not, the performer will not be at the theatre until a day or two before that. They usually reherse off-sight!
WONDERLAND:Alice's New Musical Adventure enjoyed a short, but sweet run on Broadway in Spring of 2011!

Thanks ScarletPimpernel for your response! I guess it will leave me more time to write a good letter. {up}

I received playbills from Finian's Rainbow, Race and A Little Night Music. I sent requests to A View From The Bridge, Chicago & Burn The Floor.

I sent off my request to Finian's Rainbow on January 5, 2010. Do you think I will receive a reply before the show closes on January 17, 2010?:( When did you receive your reply?
Considering your location is Queens NY, I definitely think you will hear back, assuming they still have signed playbills lying around. If you don't hear back it won't be because of time, but rather availability!

2010 will have to be the year of my first Playbill - didn't receive anything back from Steady Rain. I'm looking forward to seeing what kind of productions are coming up and who's going to be starring in them {up}

Good luck {up}

I really wanted A Steady Rain. I sent mine out on November 2, 2009. I was so angry when I saw that the Stage Manager stopped replying to requests. He/She stopped around November 8, 2009. I always wanted Hugh Jackman's autograph and I loved the cover of that playbill. I wish my letter was returned to me though, because I put two forever stamps on my SASE, which I could have res used. :?

Sorry to hear you didn't get anything back either. I think I sent mine a bit earlier - seems it didn't make a difference. :?

I don't normally collect play bills but I actually bought this one (All About Eve) from a company that raises money for actors and actresses that are in need. They have been around for 125 years and I bought a coffee table book (Curtain Call 125 Years of the ACTOR Fund) signed by all of the same people.
