Ade Edmondson - Panto Success

Unread post by whitemandcw »

Very happy today with this success, although i never met him i did manage to get my programme and photo signed.

I went to see the performance of Peter Pan in Canterbury just after Christmas, however due to the Marlowe Theatre being rebuilt they have now put a tent up on grounds near by. This is a nigthmare for us autograph collectors as there is no stage door, only a car park for the cast but you cant get to it.

So today i went back as it was my last chance for the final performance. I managed to sneek inside as i was early and watch some of the second half. :D

Waiting around in the bar area and no sign of Ade, the next performace was at 2:30 but i didnt want to wait another 3 hours so i asked a cast member to take my things backstage, he didnt mind and i thought i was in luck.
However he could not find him and said he may have popped out, but he needs to be back in 40 mins so if you have no luck find me and i will try again. True to his word he popped in again for me and got it, by now it was 2:15 so i was very lucky

This tent is not good and i am hoping to get in early this year when they start rehearsals.

AMAZING, so jellous

HERE< HERE!!! Yes, that is my local panto and every year if has been tradition to meet the cast after the show but this new venue is rubish for graphing. The "stage door" is not accessible to the public, I went 3 times over the run to try and see Ade but no luck. Even you did very well, even you didnt actually see him, I know of know one that has. Thats why I loved the old marlowe and we will have to put up with this for at least another year, maybe 2 or 3 more pantos till the new theatre is built. It is a great part of the pano experince especially for the younger generation which is just impossible there.

I did howevr write VV so with any luck I will get a reply shortly.

wel done, you are the envy of me! PS loved Wendy!

yes but I really admire Ade alot ore than kiera, a great actor!

Well I hope the new marlowe will be open as early as that and tat the stage door is accessible, the last one was great; accessible and under cover! Heres hoping, all depends on the design, never known a prper theatre not to have the stage door acessible to the public
