Left-handed, fastball sits at mid-90's and can hit up to 102 mph, but has problem with control. Looking at his stats in Cuba.. walks a ton, strikes out a ton, ERA around 4.00
Kinda surprised the Reds signed him.. I never expect them to do much with free agency.

So he'll struggle for a season or two with the Reds, and then wind up in Cubby Blue ;)dfreely wrote:Left-handed, fastball sits at mid-90's and can hit up to 102 mph, but has problem with control. Looking at his stats in Cuba.. walks a ton, strikes out a ton, ERA around 4.00

Rooting for my Phillies again. They tweaked the line-up some, but basically have the same team as last year. The season depends on Cole Hamel staying healthy and pitching well.
The division will be tougher this season with the Braves being better, and the Marlins young players being a year older.

Well, now I'm going to give my season prediction for the Braves, my favorite team. I'd say they might make it to the NLDS, but probably not any further.

The Phillies just re-upped Joe Blanton and Shane Victorino for three years each. These are two key guys for the Phils success.

As a Cubs fan (since the wheels haven't fallen off yet) I will utter that this in fact may be the year. (note I've said this every year for the last 20 or so)
Re: Anyone following baseball this season?
Meanwhile, the Mets traded Brian Stokes to Anaheim for Gary Matthews Jr. Because apparently, 5 outfielders isn't already enough for the Mets... I don't know WTF they're thinking. At least they pick up $21 million in the deal I suppose.
