I doubt the money matters much, he was rich already. People are feeling for him because he was unfairly blamed and ousted for things he wasn't at fault for.

i know but he took the $$$ so its not like he said no...money is still part of it...bu i feel 4 him too though..

And it is'nt about money- he turned down much more lucrative offers from other networks, because NBC promised him the tonight show
