Help. Sending a letter to london.

I live in Usa. Never sent one out of country but id like to try.

I send a LOR I know. My photo. Do I put anything on the SAE? like American Stamps and add a IRC or what? Idk what to do

Hi cdcplaya469,

You don't have to do anything too confusing.
There's absolutely no need to include American stamps, as they will be useless when replying to you. Include an SAE and IRC and you should have no problem. ;-)

You'll need more than 1 IRC depending on the size of the envelope they are returning..I would include 2 for anything up to a 5x7 and more for larger...I've only just learnt that 2 IRC's isn't enough for responses. For years I've been sending requests to the states and getting very little success and I now realise it's because I'm only including 2 IRCs which only would cover about half of the postage. I've now switched to using American stamps. If you can get hold of any British stamps that would help...you'd need around £1.70 worth of stamps for an 12x9 envelope, and around £1.40 for 5x7, but always write "AIRMAIL" on your SASE too. Hope this helps...it'll save you a lot of money in the long run if you can get hold of British stamps.
