I'm really sorry to be asking this, but I'm new and just want to make sure it is what I think it is

ppl say things like i sent a LOR and SASE

i no what a SASE is but i looked up LOR on google and It came up with letter of recomendation are ppl getting celebs to recomend them for an autograph? or is that just them handwritin a letter asking for a autograph

please clarify this for me

LOR is a letter of request where you basically tell the celeb you're a fan and request an autograph.

SASE is the smaller envelope you enclose inside so the celeb can send your autograph/photos.
