Have any of you mailed to their team in Japan? I would think it's the same as sending to the American teams, but want to see others experiences. Same question for Dominican ball. Naturally I can send and see, but I don't want to loose the cards on a pretty unlikely idea to start with.

I'm working on Allen & Ginters 2006, 07, 08, and only a few of my favorites from 09. Because I'm starting on them now MANY of the cards are either retired, MIA, or in Japan, P.R., or the Dominican. I'm obsessive when it comes to sets so i REALLY want to track down these guys.
I'm glad you asked, since I was thinking the same thing in the back of my mind. I'm working on the '07 Topps '52 Rookies and failed to get Juan Morillo last year out of shear forgetfullness. I was thinking about sending to Japan myself but am afraid of risking the chance of losing the card, since I'm pretty sure it's a single print and relatively expensive to replace. I'll probably make up my mind during the season or wait to see where he lands next year.

Hudson hasn't been signing much at all via TTM and is a very difficult guy in person. Kinsler did not sign much TTM in spring training '09 but the success rate for him during the season c/o Rangers was pretty good.

NONE OF MY AUTOGRAPHS ARE FOR SALE!!! THEY ARE FOR MY PERSONAL COLLECTION ONLY!!!

Autograph collecting is a hobby of mine. It is not meant to be anything for profit nor beyond my enjoyment. I only send out to people I have deep respect for in their profession/field. I send out to the following but not limited to: professional/college athletes/coaches, actors/actresses from TV shows, artists/authors, voice actors/actresses, and any other random celebrity I love/respect. I try to respect everyone's privacy the best I can.

Feel free to private message me about anything. I'm always willing to help if I can. Just do not demand addresses/advice. Be chill about it and I'll definitely be of some help! Aggression and entitlement gets nothing.

Best advice I can give everyone about autograph collecting through the mail are the 3 P's:

BE POLITE!!!
BE POSITIVE!!!
BE PATIENT!!!

How would it work if I were to send a card to Andy Pettite or Mariano Rivera. Do you send the cards to the spring training location and if so has anyone done this, for any team and how long has it usually taken. Also i sent some cards out to Mussina, Fernando Valenzuela, andre Dawson, Brian Jordan, and Mlb Network (6 cards for some of the reporters such as Barry Larken and Sean Casey has anyone had any successes with these people and if so how long has it taken. Thanks a ton, Jared

Pettitte is actually pretty good. Rivera is hit & miss. Both might take a while.

Mussina and Valenzuela are pretty good.

Dawson will return your card unsigned with a price list if you don't enclose the proper fee.

Jordan has been signing, but wants a fee payable to the Brian Jordan Foundation. I don't know the particulars, but he's been signing cards for $5.00

As for C/O MLB Network, Larkin hasn't signed anything since May of last year; Casey has been signing for the most part and there was a recent success for him.
