Re: Comic Book Collectors
Any one got an address for him :Gerry Conway? He lives in LA
Gerard F. "Gerry" Conway (September 10, 1952 - ) is an American writer of comic books and television shows. He is best known for co-creating the Marvel Comics vigilante The Punisher (with artist Ross Andru) and scripting the death of the character Gwen Stacy during his long run on The Amazing Spider-Man. He is also known for co-creating the DC Comics superhero Firestorm (with artist Al Milgrom), and for scripting the first major, modern-day intercompany crossover, Superman vs. the Amazing Spiderman

Haven't gotten around to asking him for an address yet but he is on my facebook. Gerry also works on various Law&Order series.
Scifi, comic books and a few other areas are my interests in autograph collecting. If you want to talk feel free to pm me.

Re: Comic Book Collectors
I've been collecting pretty much my whole life and I've been going to major cons since 1998 and have amassed a pretty good collection of original art (commissions and finished pages) and autographs, so I might be able to help out with con stuff. I've never done ttm with comic stuff, however I have purchased commissions through brokers or directly with the artists themselves though email or the web.
Some guys will sign everything you put in front of them at a con, some limit it, just depends on time and what they want to do really.

Okay, I have this thread bookmarked. I am booked for C2E2, but I dont know if I'll go for sure or not. I really only have been going to smaller cons since last summer. I'm sort of getting out of it a little.
Oh and Neil Gaiman used to sign by mail. The info was on the web, he is up in MN and a bookstore used to take his mailings and keep them for him to sign whenever he stopped in. Dont know if that is still the case but someone can look maybe.

Re: Comic Book Collectors
This a great forum to connect with. I collected comics growing up in the 70's. Though I got rid of most over the years, I kept one box of my favorites. I have since been on a mission to get as many of them autographed as possible. Here is some of my framed signed comics. My favorites are "The Shadow" comics and I'm always looking to add more to the display.

All of my frames are made by Frame It Again Sam (except the frame with six different first issues of The Shadow), you can find them online.

The Shadow knows!

Re: Comic Book Collectors
Nice Collection mhammen. I started really collecting in the 90's but I always read them when I was younger but never collected them.
I love getting them signed and I frame mine also. I have more sketches on display than signed comics. My Jewel is my Jerry Siegel signed Superman comic.
Glad they are more fans out there, who collect.
Lance
You see a good amount on my second site listed in my signature. Just check out the sketches and more sketches pages.
