Help!!!
Is it possible to buy USA stamps and put them on the SASE instead of putting in IRCs? Also where would I get the stamps if I wanted to do this? I'm in the UK, BTW.

Hi *Tasha*
Yes, you can put stamps from the US on your SASE instead of including IRC's. You just have to be able to have access to the stamps in the first place to cover the cost of the letter you want returned.
There are a number of ways you could get US stamps. For example:
1. If you either know someone who lives in the US, or know someone that is going to the US, you could kindly ask them to send/bring some US stamps back for you.
2. Alternatively, you could see if anyone on this forum is willing to trade US for UK stamps
3. Purchase them online at the USPS website: http://www.stampsonline.com
All the best with your collecting

This is an interesting concept, and a great idea. Stamps are always going to be cheaper than IRCs, so maybe we should start an exchange.
Someone will have to caculate the postages for the different countries, and then we could trade, say the equivalent of sending a 9X13 in local rates.
I'd be willing to do this, since I send quite a few to the UK and China/HK.
What does everyone else think?

I have already listed some postage prices under this link: http://www.fanmail.biz/mboard/viewtopic.php?t=14167
They are mainly USA to and from the UK, Europe, Canada & Australia.
Hope this helps!
