Purchased a Gene Colan sketch card and asked him to do Captain Marvel this evening to add to my project. His example sketch cards look pretty sweet so I'm looking forward to it.

I waited a year and a half for Michael Kaluta. Of course he is my favorite so it was worth the wait.

One of those sketch-o-graph cards for 75 bucks?

Yeah I actually just got an email from Gene asking what I'd like on it. Having him do Captain Marvel whom he co-created.

Yeah point taken. It's not like I sent him priceless comics but after a month you start to worry about it being a lost cause. I did sent him a print of Ghost Rider #1 , just like I sent Joe a print of Captain America Comics #1. It looks great signed and framed

Anyone who's been to a convention got some advice? It actually looks like I'll be able to go to MegaCon in Orlando which has a LOT of big name comic book guests. How do these actually work? Just lines in front of booths to see certain artists/writers for autographs? You think the artists would autograph/sketch my cards there?

BTW a couple of more guys have stated they'd do my cards for me. Agents of Atlas penciller Gabriel Hardman, New Mutants creator Bob McLeod, and Avengers: The Initiative and Secret Warriors penciller Stefano Caselli (Which I'm having to send off to Italy for :P)

Ok I've been silent long enough! haha Gary F. The creator of Ghost Rider was at two shows I attended last year. Adventure Con in Knoxville TN and the Nashville Comic and Horror Show. He was charging 2.00 to sign anything so that could be why you're not getting anything. He seemed pretty nice
Mark Texeria who I was a huge fan of until I met him. Ask if I could take a photo with him and it's like it freaked him out. The guy in front of me handed him a stack of at least 30 Ghost Rider books from the 90's which he did sign. I ask for a picture and he went off? Strange to say the least.

Does anyone have the address from Erik Larson or Mark Bagley? I would really appreciate it.

Ok, conventions, can go one of several ways, one you can get several things signed at one whack, they may or may not do a sketch for free or could charge a minimal to high fee. Some are picky about what they'll sign, John Byrne is goofy about signing reprint comics or tradepaperbacks at times. Some can limit how many they sign, some say bring it on. The more popular the writer or artist the longer the line can be. Might now hurt to have your own markers of different colors for different covers.Best get a schedule of times and such to plan from there.
Keep in mind this is how Dragoncon work(ed)s. Wear comfortable shoes at the very least :D.
Scifi, comic books and a few other areas are my interests in autograph collecting. If you want to talk feel free to pm me.
