You might be lucky and get a success with 1 IRC, but I would recommend to be on the safe side to use 2 :P

Return postage from the UK to France for a 40g letter is 60p (which is the value of 1 IRC), but if the weight exceeds this then 2 IRCs would cover you for up to 100g.

You can check out this link for other UK to overseas postage prices: http://www.royalmail.com/portal/rm/cont ... aId=400347

I hope this makes sense!!!

Thanks you

But I write with the photos enclosed in the letter and the weight is inferior to 30g, I have checked, thus normally it's good?

[france] Bonjour lofofora47 {up}

Yes, if the total weight of your return envelope will be under 40g then 1 IRC will be fine.

Remember though, you need to apply an Air Mail - Par Avion sticker on the return envelope otherwise you risk it coming back to you via surface mail :wink:

Hello again :P

Yes, you will need to either write AIRMAIL - PAR AVION on both envelopes or use stickers from the post office.

Otherwise it might go by surface mail, and even to France that can take a couple of weeks!

I hope this helps :P

Within the EU 1 IRC is enough. To the States we have to send 2 or 3 IRC's.
For instance, yesterday I sent a letter to Finland and I enclosed 1 IRC.

From which country have you received these letters with 1 IRC? The UK or the USA?

P.S. Congratulations {up}

I think you had a generous celebrity there who added to your postage :wink:

Congratulations though :P
