Has anyone here sent to the Allreds?

I spoke with a few postal workers today and I have an answer as to why some of us are getting back envelopes w/o postage marked on them. When we put "DO NOT BEND" on the envelope, it gets sorted by hand, not by the machine which automatically post marks. Hence the pen marks through the stamps or no mark at all.

I always follow the golden rule: Never send anything you can't afford to lose.

I am still hoping against the truth that we will here back from Todd M. So far it's not an RTS

I understand the golden rule, but sometime you have to take a chance. I haven't gotten a RTS either and it's too late in the game for one of those.
I'll let you all know how long Rob Guillory takes. And yes, I did send CHEW #1, 1st print
Romita SR will also go out this week and I might send Simonson a sketch request. We'll see.

However a friend of mine ask him to sign one Ghost Rider comic from the 90's run. The one with the glow in the dark cover 15 I believe. He wrote TEX as big as the entire comic and stated, "This is how I sign for fanboys". I asked him why he acted this way and he couldn't figure it out. Then I met him. Complete ass.

Uhhh...how does this make him a "complete ass"? I'm with Tex on this one as I don't get what the problem is either. TEX is how signs his artwork, so it seems obvious that a fan of his work would love that version of his signature. His "full" signature is just a couple squiggles.

I guess seeing the comic itself might show you what I'm talking about. Like someone else mentioned it basically ruined what was a beautiful cover by writing TEX from top to bottom across the entire cover. The fanboy comment was meant to be a negative probably since my bud had a Ghost Rider shirt on.
Again I'll stand by my statement after meeting him myself.

That's why I don't put all my eggs in one basket for autographs. I collect comic graphs, but also have been working on my voice actor collection by putting up some of my custom photos from the various transformer cartoons in the mail. I can post pics of that if you all like here or could start another topic.

I do collect others but I enjoy collecting comic related items the most.

Hey Everyone

I've been a member of this forum since the early days, but only tend to drop in and out now. Was delighted to find this thread as I am working on collecting comic/art/etc for my charity auctions just now (http://the10grandcharitychallenge.wordpress.com)

I've been lucky enough to get some really good doodles and drawings over the last few months, but mostly UK based. I am now hunting for USA addresses, so this thread has been a huge help. Will happily post successes etc here and happy to help find contact details if anyone is after anyone they don't know.
