Why, thank you. :D

In truth though I spent way too long looking through past playbill successes and noting the time differences. Some are quite erratic and others seem to have a good stage manager with a set routine!

But generally, like most TTM requests, they seem to be difficult to predict as you can never tell what interruptions may be happening at the other end.

It is a really awesome service and I would be happy to wait many weeks for a signed playbill. {up}

Which is why when people abuse their kindness and sell them on eBay it really annoys me.

Oh, that make sense:) I like writing to the casts this way rather than buying them on eBay. It's worth the wait, too.

Yes, I think it is definitely worth the wait. The only cast signed playbills I would buy would be older produtions or ones that would be so hard to get hold if, like the OBC of Evita. You could probably get Patti and Mandy to sign it, but as for the others....

Finding one of those would be so awesome! I'll be on the lookout.....

Also, has anyone got anything from Mary Poppins? I know they have Showbills, and my friend would love one! She's obsessed with Mary Poppins anything, actually.

I haven't personally, only because I haven't written. If you search for Mary Poppins you will see there have been some successes, although not for a couple of months. :)

Although this isn't exactly Broadway related, I thought I would see what people's opinions are here first before I asked elsewhere.

On August 13-15, Patti LuPone and Brian Stokes Mitchell are at the Ravinia Festival performing Annie Get Your Gun. I would really like to write to him, but for 2 days, would it be worth it? If I knew he would be there everyday for a few weeks beforehand, then I might send him something. But if he's rehearsing elsewhere, there doesn't seem much point to me.

Then for one day on July 31st, there is a Sondheim concert with George Hearn, and again I don't know if I should risk it?

I suppose I could always email the festival and ask them if they would hold any fanmail, so if it got there a week before the start date, if they were rehearsing at the festival they would have more time to reply.

Re: Ravina - send it, send them an email to let them know you are too. Try to send it right around a good estimate for when it should get there.

Re: George Hearn - he still performs regularly - personally, I'd wait until he's in another production (you got to keep your eyes peeled!). Or try, it can't hurt too bad just dont send anything too too sentimental.
WONDERLAND:Alice's New Musical Adventure enjoyed a short, but sweet run on Broadway in Spring of 2011!

I emailed them yesterday just to see if they would be willing to pass any mail on - I want my Ragtime playbill signed and I paid £6 for it, so I'd kinda like to know before I send it. If they say yes, I might ask them if I should maybe email before I send it just to let them know. It will depend on what they say.

*sigh* I really want him so bad! Looks like I missed a production of his not too long ago as well. Guess I will have to keep trying! I might just send a picture and see what happens. As you say, it can't hurt.

Thanks for your input! :D

Is anyone else as excited as I am about the current and coming shows/stars? I also go to the shows so the opportunity to get huge celebs on a PlayBill and photos; plus see a screen actor perfom live is awesome for me.

Monk and Without A Trace are two of my favorite shows. To see Shalhoub and LaPaglia work together is going to be really great.

Christopher Walken has been on my "Holy Grail" list for ages, to have an outlet where the chances of recieving an autograph are pretty good is a dream come true.

Then Alicia Silverston, Abigail Breslin, Jennifer Morrison (House is another of my favorites), Lucy Liu, Jon Lithgow, The Addams Family. What a great start to 2010.

Well I can't get quite as excited, not being able to see any of the current shows or anything, but I am looking forward to getting perhaps some autographs of people I like.

Gah, you are so lucky! I would love to see Tony Shalhoub on stage - Monk is one of my favourite shows as well (only second to perhaps The West Wing).

I don't know on average how many screen stars there are on Broadway each year, but it does seem to me there are quite a few well knowns so far.

But it's also nice that Broadway people like Nathan Lane and Kristin Chenoweth are on stage again, so I can get the opportunity to have playbills signed by them.

Depending on what happens with my Tony Shalhoub request, I might just have to write for a signed playbill for him as well. ;-)
