Former Canadian 'First Lady' Margaret Trudeau Success

Margaret Trudeau first came to international attention when she married Canadian Prime Minister Pierre Trudeau who was almost 30 years older than her (she was 22 he was 52). During her marriage she made headlines on numerous occassions such as when she smuggled drugs in the Prime Minister's luggage, made scantily clad appearances at Studio 54, tore apart a tapestry in the Prime Minister's official residence in Ottawa because it celebrated "reason over passion", and had affairs with the likes of Ted Kennedy and The Rolling Stones.

She is now honourary president of WaterCan and was speaking today at a Home and Garden Show here in Ottawa. She signed a photo and my copy of her book for me and also posed for a photo.
