And I have a question, so Mayhem Fest is coming up, and I wanted to try to get some bands and single members of bands VV, could you write to bands, even if there's multiple bands playing that night? I heard somewhere that you can't do that. Like theres 12 bands playing at Mayhem this year, and I wat to write to just Lamb of God, can I do that? Thanks guys!
Sure you can! It's all up to whether or not the venue itself passes on mail, not how many bands are playing! I've had successes from bands/musicians that were playing shows with 2 bands, all the way up to the larger festivals like Sounds of The Underground and it's never made a difference. And Lamb of God has always been awesome with mail! I've sent to the whole band and each guy individually, and have gotten back everything I've ever sent. I'd say Randy is the nicest, wrote me a letter once. You wouldn't think he'd be the coolest one.

Good luck man, and let us know what you get!

Forgot to add, my wife, kids and I just got back from a trip to Dallas to basically meet her mother (hasn't seen her since she was 3 and we're both 28!). Well, it hit me when we were planning activities for our kids, Dimebag Darrell is buried around there! It was literally 25 miles from her house!

Fast forward a couple days and we're on the way to Texas in the rental car, which has satellite radio. No kidding, the first song that played on the metal station was Pantera's 'Cemetery Gates'.

So we went one morning, and the man-made lake at the cemetery had turtles in it, so my wife got some food from our snack supply int he car and went to feed the turtles, leaving me alone at Dime's grave for about 20 minutes! It was almost a spiritual experience! Another guy pulled up while I was there, from Michigan, and we just chatted about Dime and Pantera and it was amazing! We both had tears in our eyes at some point. I did several etchings (paper over the grave and rub a pencil over the whole thing, to form the shape of the engraving) and took a load of pictures, some of just the grave, the whole family plot and pics of me with the tombstone and the kids beside it too. I'll post them when I get them scanned. I highly recommend it to anyone who is close to the area! It's like a metalhead's Stonehenge!

We also visited the JFK assassination site, and almost got run over, running across the street to take a picture from the exact spot where JFK was shot. Didn't have much time, obviously, so I just took a picture of the view of the 6th floor window, where the shot 'supposedly' was fired from. Then I took a picture of my kids standing in the grassy knoll where the real shot was fired from.

Wow man, sounds like quiet an adventure! Did you get any pictures of Dime's grave? You should totally post some pictures up of both of those! Man, Dimebag's grave and JFK exact death place, sounds fun.

And thanks for the reply man, I heard someone say you can't send to festivals like that, and okay I'll write to Randy also, I have like two open dates that pass fan mail so I'll put him in.

Got a great one today!

First, I got my Whitesnake greatest hits CD book signed by Tommy Aldridge! He was the drummer for Whitesnake and Ozzy back in the day

Second, I got my custom-made card signed/personalized by Kirk Windstein (Down, Crowbar) and a Q&A I sent! He filled all of it out! I don't have scans up (and most likely I won't for a while  ) So here's the Q&A!

Q. Since Phil [Anslemo] is the singer for Down, do you guys play Pantera songs live?
A. No man, only Down
Q. Who are your main influences?
A. Old KISS, Zeppelin, Thin Lizzy, U.F.O.
Q. What kind of guitars do you use?
A. Mainly ESP
Q. Should I be expecting a new Down album out soon?
A. As soon as we can get it done.

Thanks Kirk!
You're Welcome

Pretty awesome =P and those were fast turn-around times too! I sent Tommy like on Tuesday!
