Re: Wrestling Collectors?

Unread post by Beandox »

I was wondering if anyone has a solution to help keep the silver sharpie signatures on the glossy 8x10s I've received. It seems to be a growing trend for the wrestlers to sign my pics using silver sharpie. However the silver sharpie seems to "flake" off and come off the picture easily.

So my question to everyone in this thread is...Is there anything I can do to the picture to "seal" in the marker, so it doesn't rub off?

Thanks for you help

Went through my records and pulled up the addresses I had for recent successes here they are..

Brian G James (Road Dogg)
5459 Wiley Scott Rd.
Jay, FL. 32565-1603

Monty K. Sopp (Bad Ass Billy Gunn)
23 Portland St.
Eustis, FL. 32726-4435

Here's todays hits and misses ----

I got a RTS from B Brian Blair I was really dissapointed about this one because I was hoping to complete my Killer Bee's team photo that is already signed by Brunzell. I know there have been some recent successes from him. Am I using the wrong address?

Brian Blair
3240 SW 34th St 1220
Ocala, FL 34474-8422

If someone has another address I would GREATLY appreciate it. Thanks!

Successes ---

I finally got my Natty Neidhart! After trying twice before I sent her 2 photos and a q&a card on 3/5 and today I got both pictures back signed and personalized and my q&a card filled out. I was really happy with this one, I made a custom picture for her to sign and it looks AWESOME with her graph on it.

This next success was INSANE!! I've read for a while that Tyson Kidd and Natty Neidhart were dating and moved in together a couple of years ago.. So0o0o.. I sent to Kidd via Neidhart's home address and I was BLOWN AWAY by the response. Being a HUGE fan of Mr. Kidd (Aka TJ Wilson) for many years now. I sent him about 5 pictures (offering him to keep any he wanted), a card and a q&a card on 3/3 - today I received my q&a card filled out, a super nice note on an index card with a great autograph on it, plus he signed and personalized two of the pictures and finally.. I sent a picture of the entire Hart Dynasty that I took last year at a Smackdown tv taping and he signed it... PLUS he got Natty Neidhart AND DH Smith to sign it also!! I was SHOCKED and very excited about that one. What a he11 of a nice guy. He didn't keep any of the pictures, but the ones he didnt sign he sent back. That was very cool of him. I was just so STOKED about this one.

**NOTE** I noticed alot of the guys here have the same project as me going on with the NXT Rookies - thus far I have received..

Heath Slater - 1 Custom pic, ic, q&a card filled out and 2 FCW cards he sent.

Justin Gabriel - 2 signed LARGE index cards. (I sent him a custom picture that I'm waiting for aswell.)

Bryan Danielson (I refuse to call him Daniel Bryan. lol) - 2 AWESOME pics.

Still waiting on the other 5. I just sent them out though.. so hopefully very soon they'll return.

That's some really good returns. I received Eric Embry, Larry Sharpe, Larry Hennig and Kaval back yesterday.

I'm also doing the NXT project. Right now I've gotten back Gabriel, Slater, Sheffield, Barrett, Danielson. Not bad 5/8. Hopefully i'll get Tarver back soon like somebody else had.

Today was both a hit and miss day: First the miss (which I am not surprised about)

I sent a Topps Chrome card to Ric Flair via the Legacy Talent Agency and recieved it back unsigned w/ a pricelist of what they charge for RF to sign. I figured it was worth a shot.

Now for my successes:

Bryan Danielson-Sent a photo and a LOR to the FCW address in January. Received it back signed.

Tommy Dreamer-Sent him a LOR, SASE and the Topps 2009 and a Smackdown v. Raw card via venue as he was advertised at an event in New Jersey on 3/19. Received both back signed. Postmark was from NY.

Awesome success with Tyson Kidd. I want to get his on the Topps card. I'll have to try him soon.

I found another addy that a few others have had success with for Brian Blair.

Hey guys I'm over in Florida for my holidays and I'm going to go to my first live TNA show on April 4th, I've heard you can get backstage passes or talk to some of the wrestlers. So does anyone have any recommendations or advice they are able to give me??

Thank you
Swantongirly :)

Is it a house show or is it at the impact zone?

If its a house show they usually have someone signing in the lobby before the show and during intermission.

After the show they do a photo op in the ring for $20 with a top guy. I have no interest in paying 20 bucks for a photo, I just go for autographs. If you want to get autographs, get down to the guard rails around the ring right before the conclusion of the main event so you get a good spot and a few guys usually come around and sign for everyone.

You can get backstage passes if they see you being loud in the crowd during the show.

When I went to a Live Event, I did just what the other post said.
I got Autographs ringside after the show.
I got Robert Roode, Daffney, Jay Lethal,JB, and Earl Hebner. Angle did the 20 buck photo thing but I was broke at the time so no pic.
I will NOT PM you an address.
I will assist you in getting said address.
IE: give you pointers on where to get it.

First 3 rows ONLY get the meet and greet passes I'm going in apr to see them again I got the 2nd or 3rd row I know I got the passes tho lol. But they let you in AN HOUR before hand for the meet and greet (thats what tna's website says at least). I have only meet them after the show when they go around the ring and signing so this will be my first meet and greet with them I'm going to take some of my trading cards I hope they can sign things like that lol.
