i just found this out now so if its old dont yell @ me...lol i just found out that Spiderman 4 has been scrapped/cancelled i was sooooo excited for this movie to see Black Cat and the Lizard... but now im soo upset... here is a article so you can read:
".....Sony has confirmed via their Twitter feed. Sam Raimi has ankled Spider-Man 4, and they're killing the sequel instead of hiring a new director. And even though Spider-Man 3 brought in nearly a billion dollars in total worldwide revenue, they're going to reboot the series instead of sticking with the same cast. Sounds dramatic, right?Apparently Raimi felt he couldn't realistically meet Sony's 2011 release date, so he's left the project. Sony co-chairman Amy Pascal and Columbia Pictures president Matt Tolmach then decided to jettison everything and start from scratch.....But is it going to kill interest in the series? For an entire generation, Tobey Maguire is Spider-Man.So right now the tentative plan is to "reboot" the series, from scratch, in 2012. eter Parker is going back to high school when the next Spider-Man hits theaters in the summer of 2012......"
how do YOU feel?

I'm actually looking forward to it. I liked the Spider-Man storyline when he was still in high school, and always thought Tobey McGuire didn't make a good Peter Parker anyways.
I doubt rebooting would kill much interest. After all, "Spider-Man, the movie" is a lot bigger than "Tobey McGuire as Spider-Man".

I think I confused "high-school Peter Parker" with "college Peter Parker".. guess I don't remember it that well. I wonder if there wasn't even a "high-school Peter Parker" to begin with. But either way, rebooting it to earlier in the Spider-Man storyline could give it some opportunities, especially since the movies barely followed the comics anyways. They were like alternative universes with the same characters and events.
Harry would almost have to be in SM4, which kinda blows because TBH - I never liked any of the Goblin characters/Osbourne family. I'd imagine Flash Thompson would have a bigger role (what high-school hero didn't have a bully?), and there could be a more accurate portrayal of Gwen Stacy (Peter's first love, complicated relationship, dies in the end). I'd imagine Felicia and Curt Connors could still have a part in this - Felicia could be a romantic rival when Peter and Gwen's relationship complicates, Connors could be a high-school teacher who then becomes the Lizard and the movie's main villain. Just ideas though.. who knows where they'll go with the story.

He was a senior in the first films, so I suppose there's a good few years available. But, of course, he only gets his powers in the first film so what exactly are they gonna do? Films about his gawky teenage years & extra math homework?
Favourite: David Tennant IP, John Barrowman IP, Patrick Stewart IP, Catherine Tate VV. Newest: John Simm IP, Suranne Jones IP, Jonathan Groff IP.

i guess so ...thats y i think its a bad idea to re boot the entire movie franchise with new actors because everyone is use to Tobey and Kirsten... they are doing this ALOT with films like:
Batman
Nightmare n Elm Street
Halloween
ECT...
i hate this idea of re-booting...
