No worries, surely I came off as rude as well.crisabell wrote:![]()
And I was a little rude. My apoligizes for that! I hope you can get your answer!!
Perhaps you should actually read through the posts before attacking me. I did not ask for advice - I asked for an answer, and did not get anything that resembled one. One person even posted the exact opposite of what I asked for. Perhaps the better question is "If you did not have an answer, then why did you even post at all?"ladybritney wrote:excuseeeeeeeeeeeee me . you asked for advice &then when you got it you got **** . Ugh..
Recommend another online service? Never asked for it.
Recommend going to Walmart? I said specifically in my first post that I didn't want any review about their brick-and-mortar stores.
Recommend home printing? Again, never asked for it. I asked for one thing, and this answer basically told me to do the opposite.
Treat people like garbage? Explain that. I already admitted the sarcastic remark wasn't the best choice and I explain why I said it, regardless of how good or bad an excuse it was - and I'll own up to that. And I'll admit I shouldn't have taken yet another bait and switch - I'll own up to that too. But I didn't treat anyone like garbage. If anything, the lot of you are treating me like garbage because you'd rather attack me then look at the situation logically.marokee wrote: an answer was given...
so what if it wasn't the answer you wanted. doesn't mean you get to treat people like garbage.
Well, let's explain that again shall we?you asked about an online service from one store.
ok
well one member recommended another online service....thank them.
another member recommended going into walmart to print photos, highly recommending them.
another member tried helping with home printing...thank them and say "thanks for the help, but i don't like printing photos at home."
don't be an a** and say "well thanks for three different useless answers."

People should be given respect when they deserve it. That's how I look at it.if you dont start treating people with respect, you may find people willing to help you to be few and far between.
k.

Enough. Really.
dfreely - in short, I used Walmarts online service 1 time, they told me I was in breach of copywrite when I made my own pictures in Photoshop (I like to make CIC's) and then charged me, but never delivered. I paid because it was only $5 or so, but since then have switched to Snapfish.
Use Walmart if you want to take a chance.

The sad part about this is that I only made the remark as a joke and reiteration. Granted, I have built some negative feelings towards certain things here that fueled it, but for the most part, I had no ill will in that post. It wasn't until I was attacked and baited that things got nasty.Selise wrote:Enough. Really.
Snapfish is my regular, been using them for years. There's a bit of irony in this since Walmart uses Snapfish for their online photo printing services.. but not knowing what settings and color profiles they use, I just didn't know if Walmart and Snapfish were comparable in quality.dfreely - in short, I used Walmarts online service 1 time, they told me I was in breach of copywrite when I made my own pictures in Photoshop (I like to make CIC's) and then charged me, but never delivered. Either way, along with yours, I also got some reviews via PM.. not so glowing, at least service-wise. I also just realized that Snapfish ultimately had the lower prices since I often get 20-50% off with them anyways, and that's not something I can get with Walmart.

Re: Anyone try Walmart's online printing for their photos?
I was using them and thought it was good untill they didn't email me when the photos arrived at the store twice, and then I found out they use another company (Snapfish) to do the work. Why does that matter? It's a middle man, and that always means more expensive for the customer. The quality was great, but the serive is crap; and the prices are insane for WalMart considering they pride themselves in being the cheapest.
Here's a suggestion. Use Adorama, it's $1.19 per 8x10 on the more expensive glossy lab quality. I think it's only 89 cents if you use the matte. I love them and wish I used them sooner. I order and pay for the cheapest shipping, yet they still get to me in 2-3 days.

Yes, Walmart's online service is done via Snapfish. A number of companies use them - Walgreens, CVS, etc. It doesn't necessarily mean it's more expensive for the customer though - for example, both Walmart and Costco have lower prices than Snapfish. They're not really middlemen, they're just simply using Snapfish as a private label service.chriscollector wrote:I was using them and thought it was good untill they didn't email me when the photos arrived at the store twice, and then I found out they use another company (Snapfish) to do the work. Adorama's been on my shortlist for the longest time.. they're one of my favorite camera stores in the city. The reason I haven't tried them yet is because a number of people mentioned that they've had trouble printing copyrighted photos with them. Here's a suggestion. Re: Anyone try Walmart's online printing for their photos?
^ I actually started using them for just the opposite. Everyone praises them for never rejecting images. I actually wanted to see for myself as a test. I ordered a photo with the CBS name, website address, and huge logo on the image. Came to me w/ no problems.
Walmart has rejected photos I took with my own crappy little camera and they still rejected them. The file actually had the camera model, date, and an image name printed on the back so they knew where ti came from. I made my own images in PS and they rejected them, they even rejected a photo of me with a celeb; LOL. WalMart seems to reject tons of stuff that isn't even a problem.
Only thing I forgot to mention, Adorama is closed for passover, I think they open again April 6th.
