Sorry to hear that. I never heard of a rejection letter so I had no idea. I kinda wish more people would do this to be honest instead of stewing thinking did they get it?? Did the venue get it?? Do they not want to sign?? A rejection letter is better than thinking what did I do wrong or did the venue pitch it. At least you kind of know. If that makes sense........ I hate when people can't take the time to sign one thing it's not like they have piles of mail everywhere. Not many people do Via Venue so signing one item really wouldn't kill them

I totally agree about the rejection letter but I think you may be looking at the rest of this wrong. I don't think its a matter of him signing just "one item" I'm sure he does actually have piles and piles of mail coming into each venue now, look how many people in this thread alone wrote to him.

I think we can thank all the a-holes who abused this over the years by sending in request after request after request after they got their stuff signed (just like what happened to Ringo) or people who he could tel immediately weren't really fans and were just getting a bunch of autographs to sell, and Paul just figured that was it. At least that's the only explanation I can think of because that's probably what I would do if I were him.

He's arguable the most famous musician in the world with probably the largest fan base in the history of music, we gotta start giving him a bit of a break when he can't find time to sign an unending perpetual number of items everytime he does a concert, he did it for 40+ years and no one gives him credit for that. (That being said I'm still guilty of sending to him at Jobing and Hollywood Bowl, but I never expected anything back). It WOULD be nice if he just signed a big batch of his own photos every once in a while and had his assistant send those back instead of the rejection letter though...

Shoot even a pre-print would be nice right?? It least it's something...... I hate when someone ruins it for someone else. I mean abusing autographing

I think that one way to cut back on people selling his autographs and abusing an artists willingness to sign would be to make it reasonably obtainable to begin with! Pauls signature is impossible to get, hence worth a small fortune to the people who would sell it for a quick buck. Im not saying that he can sign every request he gets, but if he at least signed for some of us, it would make him less of a target for autograph scalpers. And you know, from a business standpoint, it can't hurt to do something that gets you some points with the fans. Sure, pauls concerts still sell out the world over, but his records aren't exactly the chart busters they once were. And it is a shame, they're fantastic records! Seriously, if you haven't heard them, check them out! But I can tell you that pauls diva act has cost him fans even among some of my own friends.
