A Few Questions...

Hey Guys , im just new to this website and to autograph collecting. I dont want to feel like im rushing into things , i just joined this site yesterday and i spent the whole day researching and everything. Ive already wrote 2 letters and put them in envelopes and everything ready to send tomorrow. One For Celine Dion And the other Sarah Jessica Parker. Just wondering if any one could give me some tips , advice and all kinds of things , anything to do with this hobby actually.

Additional info : What is TTM? VV? And Also I * think * i have done this right, In my envelope to Celine And SJP . I have put my letter , a picture , And an Envelope with my name and address And stamps so that they wont have to do it themselves. hope i have done it right , and i really do hope i get a response!
so any Information would be a BIG help thanks.

Your Welcome!! Also saw you wanted to know what TTM and VV stood for. TTM is Through-The-Mail And VV is Via Venue. That's where we write to celebs when there on location at a film set or at a concert. Can be tricky sometimes sending VV as some places will pass along the letters and others won't.

Ahh Thanks Alot . i have another Question If you don't mind lol. Just wondering , when im writing to some celebrity's i don't want to be writing a big letter so what is the usual thing some one writes?

I try to keep my letters to one page only (8x11) and use both sides. I start off by telling them a little about myself, like my name, age, where I live and a few hobbies i enjoy doing. Then I compliment them on several films of their's I've seen and have liked.

I look up trivia on the people I write by going to www.imdb.com and searching their names in the database. If I see something we might have in common I'll mention that.

And at the very end I'll kindly ask if they can please personalize and sign the enclosed Items I'd sent and that a SASE (Self-Addressed-Stamped-Envelope) is enclosed so no need for them to pay return postage.

Awesome Thanks for the help. I think i pretty much covered that . Especially in my letter to Celine , she's my idol so i wrote a whole page , just general stuff and how much i admire her!.. And to S.J.P I wrote About my sister because that's who id like the autograph for .
