Sending presents

My little sister loves Selena Gomez and wants to make a scrapbook for her and send her a teddy bear but I heard most celebs throw out gifts or give them to charity. I know she wants to send her gifts but I keep thinking of the amount of money she is wasting. What should I do?? Should I tell her not to send a present? Any help would be appreciated.She is touring for Lilith Fair so she would probably sent it Via Venue rather than through a agency,etc.

Hi Heyheyyou!

That's a tricky question, because it's never 100% that someone will get a gift sent through the mail. Selena might look at it, but she probably gets a lot of gifts from fans. Your sister might have a better chance that Selena will at least look at the gift via venue, but a solid definite answer whether or not she'll keep it is not something that really can be determined. It is quite expensive to send bigger objects through the mail. My suggestion would be to have your sister write a letter to Selena and if she gets something back, then go ahead and send the gifts if she still really wants to.

I wouldn't just forth the sake of postage costs, and it isn't garunteed Selena will actually recieve the bear, but if your sister insists on sending the bear, send a small one or even see if your sister would like to make a bracelet for her.

Thanks! I always wondered what celebs do with gifts they receive. I told my sister not to send any gifts and instead send a letter. If Selena was going to do meet and greets on the Lilith Fair do you think it would be the same thing I mean if she gave Selena a gift do you think she would keep it or toss it?? I wouldn't think she would intentionally throw it away but imagine Selena gets thousands of gifts a day when she meets fans,etc and she cannot possibly keep them right??

A gift like that I might send to her agent. Just sending a nice gift will get the agents attantion and they might pass it on to Selena. VV is always a risk especially if the venue doesn't forward, you will NEVER see your item or even know she got it!

You might nicely let your sister know that she might never hear back but I wouldn't discourage her. If she tries it, she can always say, "I tried" instead of wondering, "What if?"
