Do I definitely need a spacer when framing?

Unread post by Icena »

I've decided to start framing my autographs, and I was wondering, is it definitely necessary to have something to stop the photo from sticking to the glass? How long does it take for a photo to stick? Thanks!

You will need a space between the auto and the glass it will eventually stick or the ink might even come off on the glass, but something you can do which i have done is you take a acid free sleeve like what you would have the picture in in a binder and you cut it to the size of the picture & you have the picture inside that in the frame so the picture is touching the sleeve not the glass, then it won't stick.
