I wish I would've read this sooner because I stuck my request in the mail today after work. Oh well, thanks for the info.

This may sound stupid, but:

I already wrote to "Hair" and got a cast signed Playbill back. Now that Kyle Riabko is playing Claude, I'd really like one signed by him only. Will I get a response from him, even though I've gotten one back from the same show? They just switched casts, as the people I got signatures from are going to be in London.

I've got a question I'm hoping you guys can help me with. Do you think it would be okay to send a playbill to a star to be signed when it is not for their current show? For example, if I send my Wicked playbill to Kristin Chenoweth while she is in Promises,Promises do you think she will sign it? I'm not sure if they are allowed to or what. Just wondering...

Totally! That would be fine! It would just be like sending a photo to a celeb from another film while they're currently working on a upcoming one. {up} Best of luck with your success!!

Yes...that's absolutely fine! Someone like Chenoweth credits a lot of her fame to Wicked, or so I had always assumed. While someone like JILL PAICE was in "Curtains" I sent ehr something from Woman in White to sign and she gladly signed and returned that to me, as well as told me how she enjoyed the production! Just make sure your favourite actress doesn't have a tiff about their production - ie: Patti LuPone & SUNSET BLVD.
WONDERLAND:Alice's New Musical Adventure enjoyed a short, but sweet run on Broadway in Spring of 2011!

I actually find when sending a Playbill you have better results. With celebs they get bombarded with mail from many who have no interest in live theatre, nor appreciate it. They know this; so when you send a Playbill of a show they were in, it shows them you are a true fan who enjoys theatre. There are quite a few who I sent a photo to and never heard back, but I sent aq Playbill and it came back quickly on all occasions.

The positive news is in the past week to 10 days I recieved:
Cast signed Playbills':
Red, Blue Man Group, Promises Promises,Wicked, Million Dollar Quartet
Signed photos:
Tony Shalhoub Monk 8x10, Anthony Mackie signed two photos but kept the 8 Mile DVD cover and a headhsot i sent, I guess he wanted what I sent so he gave me two o fhis own photos?), Alicia Silverstone (she signed 1 photo kept one and sent an unisgned vegetarian booklet???), Kristin Chenoweth signed 2 photos but kept FHM and IN magazine covers, I guess she wanted the covers so she sent me replacement photos?), Abigail Breslin Little Miss Sunshine 8x10

Question for everyone here: I'm interested in what you have experienced with these stars. Who has mailed to Christopher Walken, Anthony LaPaglia, or Kelsey Grammer? I sent Walken three times and never heard back, twice to the stage manager and nothing, yet Mackie and Bartha are doing their mail so the mail is being delivered to the cast. I only saw one Playbill success but the poster had some kind of note with it so i have to assume there was a special reason why that was the only success from the show?
LaPaglia I sent a photo , then two Playbills from previous plays he did (which I will hate to loose), then a playbill from this show, and once more with just a sase; naver heard back. The stage manager sent me a cast signed playbill and Shalhoub seems to be awesome with his mail.
And Kelsey I realize the show just started so it might take time; I'm just REALLY hoping he dosen't keep it all then send back that horrible AP/PP when it's over.

I made a mistake:( Does anyone know if it's ok to take a piece of paper, tape it to the envelope, and write an address on it?
