Sorry to have to correct you, but IRC are not sold in all countries. The current list (as of 3rd May) is here http://www.upu.int/irc/en/irc_countries_list_en.pdf. Also, one IRC will pay return postage for a letter up to 20g. Most letters require 2.
Favourite: David Tennant IP, John Barrowman IP, Patrick Stewart IP, Catherine Tate VV.
Newest: John Simm IP, Suranne Jones IP, Jonathan Groff IP.

Hmm... Been trying all day and keep getting this message after the "Processing Credit Card" page: Sorry, your request could not be processed.

I think maybe it has to do with how I entered my address in the billing info. If they offer shipping outside of the UK, even just for "collectable" stamps, they should have an option for USA formatted addresses. Could you provide a little insight on how you entered your address into the form?
Yeah one of the fields (and I forget which one now) required an entry but neither one of them made sense for a U.S. address. I ended up putting the word "house" into one of the fields and it took my order. The postman delivered it no problem even though the address looks really funny.

I looked into that option too, I do have IRCs available here but they are $2.10 each. It would take 5 of them to return my 100 gram letter, so UK stamps were cheaper $4.79 after currency conversion compared to $10.50.

I'm surprised that 2 8x10s and a thin peice of card weighs 100g by the way. Was that an estimate or did you weigh it?

Stamps can be ordered from their website...This was once posted on CelebAutos (written by Rottie):
i have phoned the royal mail online shop for you today
you can buy stamps direct from the royal mail shop to be sent
direct to you in germany , or anywhere else in europe/world
but you can only buy the special edition collectors stamps
these are in sheets of 30 or 60 1st class stamps.

follow these steps
http://www.royalmail.com/portal/rm/shop?catId=9300091

click on Collecting & Phillately (left hand column)
click on Special Stamp Issues (left hand column)
click on British Design Classics (left hand Column)
click on Stamp Sheet
it then gives you the choice of 30 or 60 stamps
just add to your basket
go to check out
select the delivery charge =eu airmail £1.55 rest of world £2.15
then pay for them
delivery is about 5-10 days
there may be a small surcharge for processing the order

you will have to register first but once you have done that you can keep going in the online shop and buying sheets when you need them.

you can only buy special edition stamps online
but they are just the same as the standard
first class stamps only with fancy pictures on
-Urša
click on British Design Classics (left hand Column)

I think it's CLASSIC ALBUM COVERS?
:D

I can't see the choice of 30 or 60 stamps.

Does anyone of you tried using this instruction?

I've tried ordering from RoyalMail.com but my account was refunded the next day because apparently they do not take international orders online. Though they have the option for International shipping and someone else had success ordering online. :? I sent an email to either customer service and was told that if I wanted to buy stamps to be sent out of the UK that I need to call this number: +44 131 316 7483

I bought them on eBay instead.

Wow I hope that isn't a policy change, that would suck.

I weighed it on my postage scale, it was 2 8x10, lor, photo protector, cardboard and sase, I weighed it all and just marked my sase for the weight of everything even though I'll probably just get the 2 photos back to make sure it had enough postage on it.

I e-mailed the royal mail website asking if international buyers can place their orders online and they said:
Hello

We accept orders worldwide

Please place your order on the webshop
Philatelic_Enquiries@royalmail.com to me

And
Dear Customer

Thank you for your recent email.

Of course you can order Royal Mail stamps! We deliver orders to any
address you wish, world-wide!
If you would like to place an order via our online shop for Royal Mail
stamps please
click this link WEBSHOP
It's confusing.

What's the name of the seller on ebay where you bought some UK stamps?
