Actually, He never actually sent it to me, he just showed me a scan via email. As for the price, he wanted $300. Although, this was partly my doing because in the original letter I sent I told him a story about losing an eBay auction a few months ago on a very similar sketch for $300. But at the time John offered me the sketch I just didn't have the money on me and I wasn't ready to buy it. I feel so bad and I really didn't mean to mislead him. I think he was pretty pissed at me. Maybe I should try and save up the money and buy it because it's not a good feeling to be on John Romitas bad side.

Hey everyone!

Been a while, so I thought I'd stop by and say hello.

Good to see a few of you are getting replies back from McFalane. I sent him stuff back in February, so I still have hopes of getting my books back.

Sadly, I have my first fatal error. I sent Chris Bachalo some books and VS. cards to sign back in April. $2 per signature.

I got an email from him yesterday asking if I'd sent the stuff to sign. Which means it was (probably) lost in the mail. I didn't get the package insured or get a delivery conf. on it. Something I will now do in the future. I also can't find the receipt for the money order, so now I'm out $20. I still have hope that the package is just taking forever to get to him.

Also, he's charging $160 for 11x15 sketches. Maybe I can get him to bump it down for one of the Dark Avenger Blank covers.

I am so bummed about the potentially lost package. I may never again send books, especially variant covers to get signed. Those 5 issues I sent are going to be impossible to replace.

There was a small comic convention in Omaha today and I found 2 of the issues I'd sent to Bachalo that apparently got lost.

Kind of quiet in here lately. Anyone have any good news?

I have some good news.

I got Alfred Molina to sign a 3x5 card for me c/o the theatre he is performing at. He played Doctor Octopus in the Spider-Man movie and was the guide who gets nailed by the spikes in the begining of Raiders of the Lost Ark. He did not sign, but did return, the Spider-Man card I sent - insted he signed and personalized the 3x5 card I used to keep the trading card from getting damaged in transit. So it was still nice to get his autograph.

I also got in contact with comic book artists Jo Chen, Rich Buckler, and Khoi Pham. I have sent out things for them to sign and eagerly await the returns.

My most recent successes have been from Al Milgrom, Joe Kubert and Joe Sinnott with an RTS from Murphy Anderson. I sent Dick Ayers $20 with a letter of request and a piece of sketch paper, so hopefully I'll be getting something from him as well.

I just wanted to point it out in case you were calling him that in your correspondences. It might hurt your chances.
