Re: Jimmy Kimmel Live!! GREAT SUCCESS,
First of all I apologize for my last remark.
It just makes me so frustrated that you people don't seem to understand where I'm coming from. It has nothing to do with just being selfish. Like I said I prase pepsi's successes at Kimmel and I hope she gets a lot more. What I'm trying to do is to make it easier on her and other people less stressfull in getting these autographs at Kimmel.
My main point is to let people find out and go to Kimmel on their own instead of announcing to "the world" that it's easy to get autographs there. Like you said you can find out the info if you research it. I am the last person who wants to be called selfish.
If this were, say 10 or even 5 years ago I would be gabbing and telling everyone about events and where and when to go.
BUT
Now, with the dealers and the ebay attitude, these days are long gone! Now by telling everyone where to go, unfortunately, the dealers as well as the fans will see this information. Yes, you will be helping out the fans with the information, but you'll also be helping out the dealers.
Trust me I would love to go back in time to where real fans gathered and converse. But Unfortuantely we have to deal with the ebayers and dealers.
Alot of people are new at this hobby. maybe by doing this for a year or so you'll FINALLY see what I mean.
If after all what I just said you still want to post where to go, that's fine. Just be aware of the conciquences

Re: Jimmy Kimmel Live!! GREAT SUCCESS,
I wasn't having a go at you in my last posts, if it looked like I was, that is not intentional.
Re: Jimmy Kimmel Live!! GREAT SUCCESS,
I am with Bud on this one. There is this one guy who is a grapher ( not in LA area) near my hometown and he ruins everything. You say so and so is going to be at this venue the grapher shows up and ruins everything. He is loud and rude and ruins things. I don't know how to explain it but he does. So my graphing buddies keep everything top secret and not let him know about anything and if he happens to show up we sometimes trick him and say oh you just missed them. Ya it is wrong but sometimes you have to do dirty things to get what you want. I always keep my mouth shut on where a certain celebrity will be because guess what the more people show up the worse it gets and with Kimmel certain people ruin things. It could be anything not necessarily Kimmel but any show, etc certain people ruin things and that is a fact. The more graphers the more the celeb thinks you are a dealer or going to ebay it. Simple as that..... And if I sound rude I appologize but sometimes truth hurts...

Re: Jimmy Kimmel Live!! GREAT SUCCESS,
Once again.......not ony fans BUT BECAUSE DEALERS AND EBAYERS ALSO READ THIS SITE AS WELL.
Re: Jimmy Kimmel Live!! GREAT SUCCESS,
Although I do think actively praising the location and telling everyone to visit is a bit over the top, if everyone does that, you won't get the successes you are getting now.pepsi1976 wrote:Thank you !! thats what i am talking about, not sure why some members on these boards are so against fellow members sharing venue location info so other members can also have success.James wrote:I see no harm in posting names of places, it is up to the individual poster as to if they post locations etc, the only ones I am against being posted, and I remove from threads if I see them, is names of hotels where people are staying, as I see that as a breach of their privacy
I'm sure this info on where to wait etc is available on the internet, so I see no harm in it being posted.
Nice sucesses!

Re: Jimmy Kimmel Live!! GREAT SUCCESS,
Thanks again James.
Re: Jimmy Kimmel Live!! GREAT SUCCESS,
Dude, I totally agree with Bud on this one. You have to be careful because all the dealers will push, and shove and kick you to the ground, not only does it ruin the experience but it ruins the venue as the celebs don't come over to sign when it's crazy.
And I'm 6'3 and a pretty big guy. When you have to protect your smaller friends who are women just so they can try and get something signed, the hobby gets ruined... for the star and for the fan.
And Kimmel is only a 50/50 shot. Security tells them not to sign, I've seen it with my own two eyes.

Re: Jimmy Kimmel Live!! GREAT SUCCESS,
After reading this very interesting topic I agree with Bud. The one thing I have learned in my hobby is to keep my mouth shut no matter what. You never know who might be reading this and also is will ruin your chance of getting anything back:) Believe me I have been there. I accidentally told someone what I was doing and it ruined my chance of getting the one autograph that I really wanted:(:(
