Toy Story 3 Hollywood Premiere
Messed with the Hollywood premiere of Toy Story 3 yesterday.
While Tom Hanks and Tim Allen didn't sign at all ( nor Jodi Benson ( Little Mermaid/Barbie ) I was still more happy with who I got.
Who signed:
Lee Unkrich ( director Toy Story 3 )
John Lassiter ( writer and producer of Toy Story 3 and director of Toy Story 1 @ 2 )
Randy Newman ( composer all Toy Story movies )
voice actors
Joan Cusack ( Jessie the cowgirl )
Don Rickles ( Mr.Potato Head )( didn't sign outside. Had to bribe a Disney to get him inside for me. )
Estelle Harris ( Mrs.Potato Head )
Wallace Shawn ( Rex The Dinosaur )( VERY difficult to get. All of us fans literary had to chant his name for him to come over )
John Ratzenberger ( Hamm the Pig ) ( though not as difficult we still had to chant to call him over )
John Morris ( Andy )( here's another one of those rare Disney names who this is probably the only time he'll come out in public. Check his credits. Toy Story 1 thru 3 are the only movies that he's done )
Blake Clark ( Slinky Dog ) ( takes over from the late great Jim Varney )
Michael Keaton ( didn't sign at the actual premiere. Had to get him across the street at a hotel )
Jeff Garlin ( Buttercup the Horse )
Kristin Schaal ( Trixie )
I wasn't dissapointed with missing Tom Hanks and Tim Allen. At least I'll eventually run into Tom and Tim BUT to get the other people, some who are quite rare, I am more than happy to get.
I'm working on a Toy Story poster so I think I'm off to a good start.

First of all I don't have a scanner so I can't post up pictures of the graphs I got.
Second, Tom Hanks USED to be nice but ever since Forest Gump he's changed. Last time I remember him signing was at the premiere of Charlie Wilson's War.

Then you are EXTREMELY LUCKY to get him. Tom is a hit and miss. Sometimes he can be very nice racking up a storm. And other times he won't even look at you and give you the time of day. I remember one time it was just me and one friend and we tried to get him out the side of the Gruamans Chinese Theatre and he wouldn't even look at us. Then at another event where there was 20 people he came out and signed everything and posed for pictures. Tom is weird. You never know in what mood you'll catch him in.
Yeah I've been doing this for 30 years now. I tell you I miss the good old days where there was no such thing as SEM Security, paparazzi, dealers and ebayer's and you could pretty much go right up to the celebrity and even converse with them. Nowadays there's just way too many people that come out. I would not recommend this hobby to anybody the way things are now.

Think you've misunderstood me; he signed about 5 in total for the whole premiere! I didn't go, but know people that can back with nothing.bud simpson wrote:Then you are EXTREMELY LUCKY to get him.
