Just because they are being honored, NEVER expect ANYBODY to sign. You're just taking the star ceremony for granted. Going to the star ceremony will boost up your chances of getting someone tough like a Charlize Theron or a Michelle Phiffer BUT it's not a gaurentee. I've been doing this long enough to know that Kingsley is very nice to his fans and will sign in low crowd situations. He IS NOT A CROWD person and will not sign with a lot of people around. Remember that the next time you see him listed to be somewhere. As for Bruce Willis he didn't sign because it was not his "day". He didn't want to take away who was really being honored. That doesn't make him a dick. Yeah, I know some people in the past have signed at other people's star ceremony but there are exceptions that haven't. People like Laura Dern and Melanie Griffith have also stiffed at star ceremonies who are usually nice. People will sign at specific events if you have the patience. Bruce Willis racked at his footprint ceremony and he signs at "his" premieres. So catch him at his next premiere. You'll get him.
Then this was an exception to the rule. I've been doing this for 30 years and the only times I've gotten Sir Ben were at press junketts and low key events.
30 years?? I thought you were younger Bud. I guess I was wrong lol. I have been doing it for 13 years now and I know everyone has their off days or they won't sign if there is a crowd or won't sign if there are ebayers. So many factors when it comes to graphing.
