Come Fly Away Playbill Success

Unread post by Chewie »

Sent Letter and SASE on 3/19/10 to:

Cast of "Come Fly Away"
attn: Stage Manager
Marquis Theatre
1535 Broadway
New York, NY 10036

Received cast-signed playbill in my SASE on 6/16/10. Fairly long time to wait for a playbill, but I'm happy to get it back!
Still waiting on American Idiot, Fences, La Cage Aux Folles, Million Dollar Quartet, and Next Fall.

Address is still valid - play is open-ended.

Same, if Fences comes back, it would just be okay if the other ones didn't.

I have a feeling they won't be for some reason. I've sent to the Cort two other times (one to Will Ferrell last year) and the other to "A View from the Bridge" with Scarlett Johansson. I didn't hear back from either one. I've received 50 playbills now, but I don't believe I've ever heard back from the Cort. It would be an AMAZING success if they did send out for this show though. Here's to hoping... ;-)

That's kinda what I thought until today. Usually for every 5 playbill requests I send out I get at least 4 back. Having six out in the mail for 2-3 months is pretty rare. Maybe some of these shows were waiting until after the Tony Awards for some reason? Hopefully more will be following this one...

I have gotten a signed playbill from the Cort before (Will Ferrell). Sometimes for shows that have huge stars, they do away with not sending out the signed playbills with I guess fear that they are wanted just to sell.

Probably. They may also be waiting until after the show's over to send them out, so more people can't send after hearing about successes.
