My friend ( again I don't think it's good idea) gets celebs at hotels all the time and he has alot of successes. He is different than me. He gets them at Hotels and Airports. I prefer getting the celeb at a venue they are performing at or a premiere. Different strokes for Different folks I guess... Each their own.....

Awh, don't be so upset. Did you think maybe she was in a big rush, or she honestly didn't know you were there?
Carrie is super sweet, and there are so many things that may have distracted her.
Don't hold it against her. :)
Plus, I agree...I don't think Celebs should be bothered at hotels. It's their own time. Some celebrities are super great about signing there, some just want to get in and back out like regular people. I'm not against it, I'm just not one to do it.

Sorry to say but it is part of being a celeb! fans and paps are going to know what hotel you are going to stay at. yes, i know it not the normal setting to be getting autographs but i do think it is rude to ignore the fans waiting for her regardless.

My buddy who lives in saskatoon were she headed last night had the same thing happen to him this morning. He was by himself and tryed to get her when she arrived at the hotel. He said when he asked she laughed at him.Come on one person couldn't of she of just said sorry I won't sign to him instead of smirking and laughing at him.I don't care what you say but if a camera is not on her she will not sign. She is one of the rudest music celebrity's I have ever met next to gene simmons and paul stanlye.

Trust me I have met Carrie and she is such a sweet person. I don't really have an opinion on the hotel thing but you can't make your opinion on her by this one incident. You never know, maybe her manager or record label tells her not to sign autographs outside of shows or premieres. Maybe she was rushed or didn't notice. So don't make such a harsh opinion on her. :D

If there was only four fans then she should have signed.

Unless she had somewhere to be, didn't have time, was having a bad day, etc.

I feel like sometimes when celebs are in that "bubble", they sort of forget what it's like to be on the other side of the fence. If you love someone so incredibly much and your only way of ever interacting with them (even for a second) is by their hotel, then why not go for it. Its not that different in my opinion than waiting outside a stage door, to be honest. The second they step out of the hotel is fair game. Its a free sidewalk, its a free street, its public domain. IF the fan is actually waiting for the celebrity inside the hotel.. that's another story. That's more of an invasion. And even then, waiting in the lobby isn't THAT big of a deal. It's not like you're going up to where the rooms are. I personally have only done the 'waiting outside hotel' thing a couple of times.. it makes me feel uncomfortable. But if people have no qualms with it, then good on them! I do think its a tad rude to see a tiny group of fans politely waiting for you outside a hotel and walking by, but that's just my opinion. Doesn't mean she's a terrible person, there could have been valid reasons for it.

velvetgold,
you hit on it 100% what I've been trying to say. Though I'm still not a fan about waiting for a celebrity at a hotel You are absolutely right. I guess it's ok to wait at a certain distance outside the hotel. But inside the lobby, still to me is a no no.
Also, remember, what the fans may think is ok to do, the celebrity may not. Put yourself in Carrie's place. To her it may seemed kind of "stalkish" that people knew exactly where she was staying and she just wanted to get out of there. Yeah the people there were fans BUT Carrie doesn't know that.
