you hit on it 100% what I've been trying to say. Though I'm still not a fan about waiting for a celebrity at a hotel You are absolutely right. I guess it's ok to wait at a certain distance outside the hotel. But inside the lobby, still to me is a no no.
Also, remember, what the fans may think is ok to do, the celebrity may not. Put yourself in Carrie's place. To her it may seemed kind of "stalkish" that people knew exactly where she was staying and she just wanted to get out of there. Yeah the people there were fans BUT Carrie doesn't know that.
Totally agree.. if I were a celeb, I actually
would be creeped out that fans know where I'm staying!

Fans waiting in the lobby waiting outside going upstairs and finding their rooms. Really Creepy.... I mean going up to their rooms is totally uncalled for.
Oh man, I remember that. That was really creepy. They were actually going up to where the rooms were and knocking on their doors. They nearly stopped signing that year because of the fans' behaviour...
Also, I went to a few American Idol tour shows last summer, and if anyone's ever been to one, some of the Idols always come out beforehand to sign for fans.. well in Hartford, CT last summer, the tour manager came out and told us they wouldn't be signing that day because when the Idols arrived at the hotel at 5 AM that morning, there was a huge group of fans in the lobby hounding them for autographs and pictures. At 5 AM!!! Such an intrusion.
