Have you ever lost an autograph?

Unread post by sabrinaalexandra »

I have. I started writing to the Harry Potter cast when I was quite a bit younger. I was younger than 13 even I think, or around that age. Anyway, I wrote to Rupert Grint and Bonnie Wright. I got authentics from both of them (Rupert had even written me a letter - I so wish I still had it, I cringe every time I think about this!) and signed and written to my name and such because of course at that time I was writing more babyish letters but Harry Potter has always been something strong in my life. So anyway, I had a print signed and dedicated to me from him and then that letter.

I had the print hung up on my wall FOR A LONG TIME and the letter in a drawer. One summer we cleaned out my room entirely to remodel and I haven't seen either of them since, and I didn't really care that much about autographs back then but I kick myself a lot for this! I still have the Bonnie one and it's really old, and I was clumsy with that one too so it has some stains on the back, but no damage on the front thank goodness.

What about you?

I've lost several {down}. I got those, when I was a little boy, so I wasn't really collecting autographs. When my parents divorced and I had to move, I've lost them. I obtained those autographs in person, during a promotour.

I have *sigh* I have no idea how but I lost 2 photos signed by Alessandro Nivola. I still have photo of them on my PC but originals just disappeared. I am really angry about that because I have only seen 2 successes from him and one was mine...And I lost it. How could I?!
I remember I had it somewhere on my table and I got it in January 2009. At that time I was not that into collecting, I just had some pause, so I didn't put it on any special place. I hope I'll find it again one day or that at least I'll get another autograph of him as he's a fantastic actor I adore.

I've lost loads since I was a little kid! I used to collect autographs of the stars appearing in theatre shows on holiday and usually they would get lost or damaged from me taking them out and showing people when I got home! I never took it seriously as a kid! I'm kind of sad now coz I had Les Dawson, Marti Kane, & Leslie Crowther ip and I lost them! I'd love to have their autographs now but they've since passed away! :(

Yep. Lost an IP success I had with retired baseball player Steve Finley I had gotten during a Spring Training game when he played with Arizona.

Probably gone forever

I haven't lost any so far, but I probably will do at some point. I try and put them in safe places as soon as I receive them.

I hope everyone finds their missing autographs soon!
