You don't happen to put the celebs name and return addres on your SASE's do you? If so, that might be why. The mail employees or someone down the line is recognizing who it's from and swiping them. That's why I switched to just putting their initials on my SASE's and logging in what address I used on my computer.

I NEVER put the celebs name and the return address on the SASE. Instead, I use a coding on the bottom right hand corner on the back of the envelope. For example, if I am writing to an actor, I draw a little star. If I am writing to an actress, I draw a rhombus. If I'm writing to a professional fighter, I draw a triangle. So on, so on. It is a lot easier for me to also organize who I send out to and if I received something back. That's just what I do. I doubt if anyone else does that.

The Post Office will say yes, but the reality is that if there's a problem with the envelope they'll simply deliver it to whoever it's addressed to (or send them a notice if postage is due or something). This is why I don't put a return address on my SASEs. If there's a problem I want it to come to me no matter what.

Don't feel bad...I nearly went a full year without receiving anything...until yesterday. The last one I got before that was July or August 2009.

I always put a return address,usually theirs but sometimes mine but never a name. Nobody knows who its from from just an address with no name.

Hey guys! Thanks for the comments. To Ryan J. all I put on my SASE is my home address. So I hope "swiping" is not a problem. Although, one day when I walked down to the mailbox the mail man had made a comment on how he had noticed I had been sending letters out to various celebrities. May have been innocent, but who knows! I'm probably just having bad luck.

To capmonte: I've sent a ton of letters in the past, I've been waiting for Amanda Seyfried, Jason Alexander, "I sent this request the same time everyone had received success, but I didn't get anything. I've sent to about 25 different classic actresses, such as Debra Paget, Mary ann Mobley. Nothing
