Old Ozzy Osbourne autograph?

Unread post by Classikmetal »

Hey guys. I'm posting this up because I have always been quite skeptic about this autograph. I got this about a year and a half ago via a trade a fellow autograph collector. I accepted it without a doubt since...it's freakin' Ozzy, you know? I knew I probably wouldn't get another opportunity like this. I've since lost contact with him, so I can't really ask him to confirm the authenticity of it.

Here's the background I have on it from what he has told me. All he said was that he got it back in '97 in person. He never said where, but looking at the pic, it might obviously be from Ozzfest. He might have grabbed this little flyer thing for Ozzy to sign. You know how hectic festivals can be...you have them sign whatever you have in your hands. That's the positive thing that makes me lean towards thinking it's authentic. Plus, if you were to fake something, who in the right mind would forge it on a folded piece of paper? If anyone is curious on why it is signed on this side, the other side was pure black...there was no way a signature would be noticed on that side.

My concerns? It just downright looks like a sloppy autograph. I've seen neater signatures off of Ozzy before. From recent successes on this site, it looks like he can sit down and make near perfect autographs in bulks. Looking around the interwebz, I've seen many autographs like mine, but not as sloppy. I really don't know what to think.

I'm really about 70% sure this is authentic, but you never know. Any help would be great. {up}

It sort looks like the ones being sent out right now, the lettering looks similar. So Im going to say it looks good, just very rushed.
