So Robert F. Kennedy Jr. came to Eugene, OREGON to do a presentation about "Our Environmental Destiny". After waiting for about 10 hours I was able to get my picture, my ticket stub, and My U.S. flag that had been hanging up in my room while I was in the Army, all autographed by him! He also shook my hand and said "Thank you for your service" I was happy that I had this brush with the world, I mean it's a Kennedy!!! and Bobby Jr. at that! Congrats on a fantastic success!! He is one of my favorites and I am glad to have his signtiture in my collection. Those are great iteams you have there and an even better story. Very Nice success again ...Why did you wait 10 hours??

I guess the 10 hours was an even longer story. I had no ticket originally to get inside the McDonald Theatre. I waited in the back by the stage entrance all day just to hear later that he had gone through a side door about 5 minutes prior to going on stage. I felt a bit hopeless and was going to just go home. That's when I bumped into this nice lady sitting in the planter out in front of the theatre. We started discussing The Kennedy family, and Environmental issues, and other random current events. She stalled me a further 2 hours until the event was almost over. As some people were exiting the building I asked the ticket guy if Mr. Kennedy would be meeting with supporters of his work that attended the event now that the show was over. He asked if I had any flash cameras and I said no. Then he handed me a ticket and said go ahead and go check it out for yourself! I was really happy that I actually got into the place to hear the last 5 minutes of questions and answers with the crowd. Upon leaving and not having been able to meet him, I asked some of the last people exiting the building if they saw him exit the stage. The lady said that he was in the lobby signing autographs! So that's when I got in line and the rest is history I guess. It was an adventure! :razz:
