Hayden Christensen
Another good success for me was getting Hayden Christensen at the Hollywood premiere of Takers.
Premieres nowadays is an ALL DAY thing because people are starting to get to the theatre wayyyyyy to early.
Back in the "old days" you could show up at a premiere only an hour or two before it starts and you're still assured to get a front spot in the barricade. Now you have to show up first thing in the morning to get a good spot.
Anyway I get to the world famous Cinerama Dome in Hollywood at around 2. Already the whole front section is taken.
I kind of figuired that BUT I'm sorry, I have a life besides this hobby and I'm not going to waste all day just for some stupid movie premiere. Anyway second row isn't that bad. However, and it's not unusual for security to do this, at around a half an hour before celebrity arrivals, they decided to move and shift the barricade closer to the red carpet. As we shifted I inched my way closer and I was able to move up to the front! I was in prime position now!
There was no one else in the premiere I cared about, just Hayden. Anyway Hayden has always been nice to us fans but I wanted to get him on a couple 12X18's. As soon as Hayden arrives the chanting begins. He smiles to us and after doing press he comes over and the rack session begins. I manage to get my two and I help out a friend by getting a third one done. Hayden was so nice switching pens and doing photo opps as well.
This premiere also brings up a couple other things I'd like to discuss. One trend that's been going on now for quite a while and I hate to a tee, is parents using their kids to do their dirty work and getting the autographs for them. I HATE THIS practice and the parents should be ashamed for putting their kids up to this. I have even overheard a parent tell his little 10 year old girl that if she doesn't get a certain persons autograph there will be no dinner for her tonight! I guess it's ok if the parents kid's were say 16 or 17, BUT the two family's that I see come out, their kids are only around 8 to 10. First of all its downright abuse. Sometimes working these premiere's can go till midnight and beyond if they're working the afterparty. Isn't past the kid's bedtime? Parent's instead of bringing them out graphing, why not take them to a ballgame, to the park, or to the beach? There are other things to do in life then this.
Not only are the parents making money off the kids but they are also abusing the celebrity. There are some celebrities that don't like signing for adults but if you bring in a child into the picture they will go all out and sign for the kid. Not realizing that the autograph goes right to the parents. Watch this video:

Look for the kid crying/shouting "My toy, my toy!". You notice how Hayden stopped the SUV, rolled down and signed the kid's. Well I can tell you that afterward the kid just handed the toy right over to his parents. It wasn't even his! I hope he got a good dinner afterwards.
Also another warning for starzgirl, at the Takers premiere, did you know that your boyfriend got arrested and handcuffed for hassling and arguing with the police? And that Emma Thompson at her star ceremony was told not to sign autographs because of Redbull?
Stazgirl continue to hang out with this user/looser all you want. You don't listen to us FanMail readers for our advice but don't you think that there's something to what we said when not only us, but other celebrities, security and even the police dispise this guy?
Anyway, glad I got Hayden.

Re: Hayden Christensen
Thanks for the report. Glad you got your pictures signed. Hayden is a classy guy for sure.
And I totally agree with you about parents taking kids to a premiere. It's stupid and unsafe too, considering the amount of pushing that usually goes on at these events.
I keep hearing about this guy "red" or "redbull" who is this guy? Dealer or collector? I've heard a lot of bad stories about him.

Hey guilder just read the post on Jada Pinkett success at Kimmel. Then you'll know who Redbull is.
Us readers are trying to help out and warn starzgirl about this guy but she just doesn't seem to want to listen to facts.

I also hate when parents use their kids as bait. So annoying... Or ( hope I am not sounding mean) I have seen parents play the sympathy card. A handicapped kid I see alot comes to different things and her parents use her as a way to get meet and greets, etc it is kind of disgusting to tell you the truth. The star feels bad and gives her an autograph or a meet and greet. I mean ya I feel bad for the girl but the parent should not under any circumstances use her as bait to get something. Half the time she doesn't even like the person her parents do.

AND most of the time the kid won't even know who the celebrity is. Just disturbs me.

Got to love La Familla, I really wish someone would call CPS (Child Protective services) on these guys.
What really makes matters worse is they let their kids run around all over the place screaming and shouting and kicking and pushing and dont say one word for them to behave. They also tell their obnoxious little brats to stand on the parking lot side of the fence to get a stars attention before those of us who have been standing there for several hours allready.
There is another family bad about this to, it a shame cause the parents are somewhat nice except for the fact that basicly pimp out their kids to get autographs. But that La Familla, Man oh man that family is just as bad as the red plauge himself.

Re: Hayden Christensen
Kinda like the way Janet Arvizo used her cancerous child to befriend Michael Jackson so she could lather herself in jewels and riches, only to turn around and accuse him of sexual assault when MJ started to faze out of the kid's lifeHeyheyyou wrote:I also hate when parents use their kids as bait. Parents using their kids is DISGUSTING. And if I were a celeb, honestly, I'd sooner sign for an adult than a kid. Is the kid going to remember this experience 10 years from now? Um, no. Meanwhile, it's the adult that has monetarily supported the celeb over the years and is genuinely a huge fan. Unless we're talking about Miley Cyrus or something catered towards children. And even then, the money is coming out of the parents pocket!!
SO glad you got Hayden!! He has been one of my favourite actors for a long time now!
Re: Hayden Christensen
Or sometimes someone uses their disability as a way to get something. Again I understand you are disabled ( hope it's not sounding selfish or rude) but I don't think using a disability to get autographs is cool. I mean sometimes they do not even like the person they are just using their disability to get something. I might come off as mean but I am not if you generally like the person cool but don't use your disability as a way to get things that just isn't right.

Re: Hayden Christensen
Yeah, we have one disabled person in a wellchair that comes out to the premieres. Acutually he is sincere and truely loves meeting and getting photo opps with the celebrities. He doesn't bother me a bit. The dealers, ebayers, the lookiloos who have no idea what's going on, and the people that use their kids are the ones that bother me the most. This guy is ok.
The ones I hate are the one's that pretend to have a disabilty. I think that's what you mean.
