HELP! - FROM UK SENDING TO USA - AND RECEIVING BACK!

Okay so this is the first time I'm sending abroad, I'm from the UK and sending to the USA, I'm unsure how to get the autograph back?

I'm sending quite a large padded envelope ( a bit bigger than A4 ) with a smaller 8 x 10 size envelope inside.

I'm not sure how the postage works to receive it back?

Do I get US stamps? If so where from?

Do I just use UK stamps?

You need to include either International Reply Coupons (get them from your post office - if they say they've been "discontinued" they're either lying or just misinformed, check another post office branch) OR US stamps. IRC go IN your main envelope, US stamps go ON your SAE.

You can buy US stamps (usually "Forever Stamps", like our 1st class, they dont change in value if the cost later increases) from members here (check the Autograph for Sale/Exchange section), or possibly from eBay.

You will need to know the weight & dimensions of the SAE to know how many stamps to use. Check the USPS website for stamp calculators and cost tables,

Yes, you will need to use US stamps (or IRC). Anything sent FROM the US (either out of the country, or to another address inside the US), needs US stamps. Or, IRC. These are exchanged by the recpient at their post office for US stamps.

No, or I would have told you that you could Like I said, you need to get them from either a member here, or eBay. Or another source (I get mine from a friend in the states).

Technically, yes you could, but it's not recommended due to the amount you'd need to change (you can't for instance change £4.50 into American dollars, it has to be a paper note). I would include $3.

I just found a site that sells US Forever Stamps.

How do these work exactly? How many would I need to put on the SAE?

I already said you need to check the USPS website to know how many stamps to use. Each stamp is worth $0.44. I can't tell you how many to use. I don't know the dimensions of your letter or the weight. I'm here to answer your questions, not do everything for you
