How many stamps?

I'm using a 12x15 plastic envelope with a 9x12 SASE. I heard that for 9x12 you use 3 stamps, but for the 12x15 do I go extra stamps since its bigger?

I think it might depend on the weight. Might be safe to put an extra stamp on it.

It all depends on the weight in the US (other places too I think but I am giving you US stamp costs).

On my 9X12 SASEs I only use 2 first class stamps which is 0.88, the cost of a 1 ounce large envelope (about the weight of a 8X10 photo).

The 12x15 plastic envelope's cost depends on how much it weighs. I am guessing 3 ounces which is 1.22 to another address in the US which is about 3 first class stamps.
