Re: Personalized or Not?
Before having anything personalized, I didn't really care as long as I have the signature. But after getting a signed photo from Kurt Angle, I start to find it more personal and it is harder to give away since it is written specifically for you. I think the con of it is selling the item. Some people preferably just want a signature and probably are not so keen on having one that is written for someone else.
Re: Personalized or Not?
I am trying to arrange a collection of autographs as a present for my husbands 40th birthday...Every request sent I have asked for personalisation...so far no luck but still keeping my fingers crossed, as I think this will make the collection more special for this occasion! The hardest thing I've found is trying to think of all the people he admires...still searching and sending requests!! Thanks fanmail though, couldn't have done this without you!! xx
Collecting for a present....5 months to go! This hard work best be appreciated!!!

Re: Personalized or Not?
Some things are ok (like photos) personalized, but others (especially for sports fans like me) just look better with the signature only. I don't sell my autographs but if there needed to come a time that I absolutely must, those personalized ones I have would be completely worthless to someone else.
Autograph count:
Real: 9
Pre-print: 1
In person: 2

Re: Personalized or Not?
For most requests I've send TTM, generally I prefer personalization on the picture, because like many have said, it makes it more likely that they actually read the letter.
But for playbills or other programs, especially when I'm having multiple people sign it, I think it looks better non-personalized.

Re: Personalized or Not?
I personally like them personalized, I think it's neat to see how a celebrity signs my name. So far my closest signature to another celebrity's is Ernest Borgnine's P and Judge Judy's eter. For my name Peter! lol
Latest Sent: Celine Dion
Favorites: Robert Englund, Seth MacFarlane
Want to send: Katy Perry, Rene Angelil (Celine Dion's Husband/Manager), Miley Cyrus.
MOST WANTED: Celine Dion lol I'm probably her only straight male fan, lmao
