Some autographs from the King of Queens

Unread post by MrDubbs »

Can someone tell me if these autographs that are listed on this ebay account from the show King of Queens are authentic?

I'm wanting to buy these, and just print of my own 8x10's or perhaps make a nice framed picture out the index cards

First,
Thanks so much for your support in that Tom Baker fiasco. I don't know why DAYTRIPPER did that to me. If I was upseting him I'd wish he would just PM me instead of embarassing me like that in front of everyone on FanMail. Like I told him I admitted that I was wrong on authenticating the Baker BUT sometimes its hard to judge something when all you have is a computer scan of the autograph. For me to be almost sure the autograph is authentic I would need to see the autograph in face to face in front of me. Computer scan doesn't do it justice. I felt his "trap" was not a real test.
Also this is supposed to be a site for fans. I again, I admit, I'm far from being an expert and I never really said I was. But I do have a lot of years invested in this hobby, so I'd like to think I know a little something.
Anyway, I pulled examples from my collection and all the signed index cards look good.
Thanks Again Dubbs!

Well, I've only come across Kevin James, Leah Remini and Jerry Stiller's autographs. As I mentioned above, I believe the Kevin James to be authentic, it matches IPs i've seen before. The Leah Remini seems to match the TTM she signs. I suppose it would be cheaper if you sent her a photo or simply pay her agency the $4 fee for shipping, but either way it's up to you of course. Finally, the Jerry Stiller is a bit difficult to authenticate since it's printed letters. I've seen his autograph before but it was half printed, half cursive so I don't want to offer an opinion on what's listed online. I hope this helps though! :D

Yeah, I have one of her photo's that I paid 4 dollars for, I just thought it would be kind of cool to create a display. Perhaps putting an 8x10 in the middle and index cards around it in some form.

I've done that as well. I've matted a lot of my in-person items in a frame with a nameplate and filmography etc. It looks rather nice. I'm working on one at the moment - a collection of signed index cards obtained from 90s directors and producers. Good luck with your project!! {up}

Thanks :)

Would you be willing to post some pictures of the ones you've done? So I could get some ideas on layouts, etc?

Back in '06 my wife and I got vip tickets to see the show tape. I got sigs from most of the cast. Sadly, Jerry Stiller left before they were finished taping the episode. So I did not get him. Here is a scan of my Kevin James auto plus some pics from the set....

Finally, you asked about matting cards with pics. I used to do that. I would matte signed 3x5 cards with a pic. But, then I started creating my own custom cards and having the celeb sign them. If that wasn't possible. I would matte the 3x5 card behind the custom card.
Here are some examples....

In the autograph discussion area. I have a thread with the rest of my mattes.
