Envelope sizes?

I am new to the SASE and I have been sending a 6x9 inside 9x12a because most the time I send a cd cover or something small that will fit in it... but I worry about them trying to send a photo and it not fitting inside the small envelope.

What size envlopes do you use?
Got any advice?

I always send my own items and use the standard #10 Business envelopes. I use my 6x9 ones for Playbills and larger items that I send to get signed such as DVD covers. You can always fold another 9x12 SASE into your first 9x12, that way if they have a 8x10 they can send you one.

Unless I'm sending smaller photos, I almost always use a 9x12 and fold a 9x12 SASE and put it inside. I usually send my own photo for them to sign, but if I send something small and want to request an additional photo, I just send the larger envelope anyway.
