I just had a 10 day dry spell, but I just got two autos in the last two days. The wait is hard, especially when you have requests going back several months (my oldest currently is end of May).

Anyone else start thinking their mail carrier is stealing their mail? That's the only thing I don't like about this hobby, it really brings out the obsessive in me. That's why I've stopped writing for now. Time to step back and think rationally again :)
2014 Successes:
Tom Baker, Patrick Stewart (vv), Peter Cullen, Robin Atkin Downes, Jenna-Louise Coleman, Trace Beaulieu, George Lowe, Joe Dante, Willem Dafoe, Jeffrey Brown, Maurice LaMarche, Alan Oppenheimer, Penn & Teller (last success 10/14/14)

Yeah, every now and then. But not my actual mail carrier, she is SUPER NICE, I'm just always worried about other carriers who transport the mail to and from the trucks. I get suspicious, but my items always seem to arrive just fine, even if it is 3-4 years later. ;-)

i agree but without a return address (i prefer that, and most of them come like that at least for me) they really dont know whats in there.

i have though, had BIG problems with sports cards. i used to sell a lot of them and i got bent over bad by paypal claims and it was not my fault. i never sell sports cards on ebay anymore

Yeah, almost everyday. I think our postman is stealing my autographs because he asked me one time if why my letters have identical envelopes/label though they came from different countries.

Since then, I rarely get replies.

I had a 4 month long dry spell that just came to an end yesterday. I always try not to get paranoid when I don't hear back for a while but it's kinda hard when you see a lot of other people get successes from celebrities that you have written to as well.

Oh no!! Is this actually a problem? Now you've got me paranoid! lol

Seriously though, if this actually happens that's a shame. How can we counter this? I send out a lot of requests, with the right postage, photos, SASE's, IRC's, etc....and I haven't gotten many responses. Maybe I'm just not waiting long enough, but it's also certainly possible that the postman/woman is taking them. The last response I got was earlier this month but I didn't get it in my mailbox--I had been on vacation with my mail being held....and when I returned I went to the post office to pick up my mail and had the autograph. The time before that was August 19th!!!! I haven't gotten an autograph in the mail since August 19th and there's many I feel I should've gotten by now. :(

I'm sure it's just paranoia on my part. I'm an obsessive person by nature. When I got my Leslie Nielsen success this week, my first thought was, "hey, my mailman let one slip through!" ;-)

Yeah, I get paranoid about that, too. I haven't had any problems with my mailpeople so far, so that's good. Stealing mail is a crime, and I don't think they'd risk losing their job for that.
